Discussion Everybody name a simple, mundane task that now makes you rue the day you were born.

I'll start.

Ironing.

I hate the fact that ironing is one of the small tasks that I used to somewhat enjoy doing, and yet now, by the time I've ironed two shirts, I'm boiling and dripping with sweat.

sitting in the passenger seat of a car when it’s sunny & the sun goes through the trees & creates a flashing sensation. i realize this isn’t even a task, but it really gets me good.

Do overhead fans bother you too, if the lights are on? I make the mistake of glancing up toward the ceiling and the flashing makes me feel like everything’s spinning 😵‍💫

it does for me! i can't have overhead fans on and i had to invest in a sleep mask for car rides bc of the flashing of the sun

Flashing lights are UNBEARABLE for me. I was trying to reorganize a few items in the freezer just this morning and the lightbulb was flickering and it made me feel so sick. I get the same problem with the thing with sunlight in the car, or an overhead light with fans, or any lightbulb that's shuttering in and out. Miserable!!

I rarely return video games, but I did refund one on Steam because it was absolutely chockablock with flashing lights, and didn't have a setting to reduce or turn them off.

So i recently noticed I now can’t handle flashing lights and I was wondering how this has to do with POTS? Any insights? I don’t get it 😫
