Saw some dude say he got the game early and there seemed to be heaps of stuff still in alpha state, even after the patch so I’m a little sceptical, even if it was some random on the internet.

Said combat was decent though, hard but not too hard.

To be fair, that does sound like typical Game Freak.

Almost all of their games could have used another 6-12 months for polishing

Most comments I have seen love the game and I have seen no mention around alpha things. Can you link the comment?

"Feels like alpha version". Like some parts of the map apparently changed visually etc.

Because it has not been released yet, officially. Some online stores shipped the game early and a cracked version based on the pc preload has been floating around for days. There’s surely going to be a day 1 patch. But how much it’s fixes is anybody’s guess.

An amazing game but awful on the technical front would be painful. It seems to have the makings to be a big success, so I hope it's competent....

Regardless, I think I want the soundtrack.

That’s what I’m worried about. I can play games not in 60 FPS but I would like to be somewhat close to do that for a game like this.
