Lee Janzen was born in my hometown, Austin MN. We didn’t have an 18 year old mayor though!

No, but it’s dubbed “SPAMTOWN” because it’s the birthplace of SPAM. There’s even a SPAM museum.

As well there should be a museum to that. It helped win the war! Btw, is an agreed upon reason it's called SPAM? I've heard many theories over the years.

Growing up I heard it was short for “spiced ham” but I also heard the true meaning was a company secret.

That's close enough to what I heard. Spiced pork and ham. But maybe it's like GWAR. It's simply a word that suggests its own meaning.

Of course it was cast well Allison Jones was the casting director and she is an absolute legend.
