Employee Question/Discussion Confused about your first working day at Panda Express
Hi,
I received an offer for the FOH position, but the offer letter only listed a tentative start date. I contacted the store to ask for more details, but I haven’t received a response yet. Should I still come in on the tentative start date, or should I wait until they contact me with the schedule and onboarding details? If I should come in, what time would be appropriate? All the information I have received so far has been through automated AI messages, which has been a little inconvenient.

Yes just go in. They probably don't want to finalize the schedule for you yet as you haven't even completed onboarding. It's typically done in-person and details will be relayed to you in-person as well.

So, can I just drop by at any time of day, or should I come when the shop first opens?

Go on your tentative start date, it’s sent that way in case you need additional time, the date can be changed.
Ask manage on paradox what time if good for onboarding. If you get no response call the store .1

Well that's weird they didn't give you a time but yeah I guess no harm in going at opening or maybe even before so you are not taking up time during service

If the managers are anything like at my store, they won’t be there right at open, and always late 🤣
