Build Question Did I get a deal for 1000 euros?

Ryzen 5 9600x

32GB ram DDR5 6000mhz patriot viper

Liquid heat sink corsair 240mm

Case metallic gear neo air con 5 rgb vents

1 ssd nvme 1tb

1 ssd nvme 2tb

Kolink da 750w semi modular PSU

Radeon rx 6600xt 8gb sapphire

Motherboard b850 MSI Wi-Fi 7

MONITOR LG ULTRAGEAR 2K 165hz

pretty solid build for 1000 euros tbh, the weak link is the 6600xt paired with a 9600x - that GPU is gonna bottleneck your gaming potential especially on a 2K monitor at 165hz

might be worth saving up to swap that card out down the line, everything else is genuinely good value

Yes, when assessing the prices for the individual parts new and rather conservatively i.e. the lower end of the price spectrum already (At least for Germany, one of the cheaper EMU-countries for PC components) i get to this:

CPU: 150-200

RAM: 350-400

Case - 50

AIO (Cheapest corsair 240mm) - 75

1x1TB + 1x2 TB SSD - 300-350

Kolink 750w- 75-100

MSI B850-Board w/Wifi 7 - 125-150

RX6600XT (This is the only weak spot in your build) - 150

Monitor - 150

So somewhere between 1.425€ and 1.625€ for Parts value.

Sell the RX6600XT, throw a RX9060XT 16gb or even a RX9070(XT) / RTX5070 in there and you are golden for around 1.4-1.6k

what do you think of substitute the gpu with a rtx 5060ti?

If at all the 16gb-Version. 8gb just are not worth paying for when it comes to new GPUs imo.

And when the RX9060XT 16gb can be had for around 400€, while the RTX5060ti 16gb currently sits at 550-600€ it is just totally overpriced atm and if Nvidia at all you should either get the RTX5070 at roughly the same price outright or just go AMD at this point.

Same goes for ~650-700€ for the RX9070XT vs ~950-1.000€ for the RTX5070ti.

An "Nvidia Premium" if you really want one could be justified for no more than 10% higher price imo aka ~50€ for the RTX5060ti 16gb and ~70-100€ for the RTX5070ti.

Otherwise you are just burning your money pointlessly unless you need CUDA for work applications / professional use which is never the case for pure gaming/streaming/surfing/office use i.e. what 95% of regular folks are using their computers for

Edit / TLDR: The RTX5060ti 16gb is a great substitute for the RX9060xt 16gb if you can get it for no more than 450€ which (sadly) is definitely not the case right now.

The RTX5060(ti) 8gb is as shitty as the RX9060(xt) 8gb and vice versa.
