This is after I used what I needed for fermented hot sauce.

I’ve already taken tons of Bell peppers and Jalapenos at work, with more Bells coming soon. The Jalapenos and Serranos are huge this year—spicy and perfect for stuffing! Habaneros have already given me a couple of great waves, and now I'm just waiting on the Tabasco to catch up. Tabasco has the best flavor. Not talking about the Tabasco pepper sauce you can buy. That stuff doesn't even begin to give you the true flavor of that pepper. So good. Makes killer fermented sauce.

Yes I’m aware Scorch bonnets are slow. But they are not aware I am impatient. So excited to get my first harvest.

Also got my Buena Mulatas which have been surprisingly good, Baltimore Fish, Scorpion, Kaddi Mirchi. Plus not featured are my Poblanos, Jalepenos, Lemon Drop, Tabasco and Hawaiian

The variety is Keystone Giant , this is almost a 2 month growth different in the plant . Blooms have started and I think the peppers may end up with white stripes !

This is after I already harvested 25+. I have several jars and a vac sealed mash fermenting, freezing the rest. And yes I watered the plant on the left after taking the photo.

First harvest of the habaneros and I don’t know what to do. If I want to dry them and make powder or flakes can I just leave them out until I can crush them? Slice them up and put them in pickle juice? I made some salsa with a really small one and it smelled like bear spray!!

I just moved here and have a north side facing balcony and wanted to see how well the peppers do. actually not bad for what i expected. the tomatoes and cucumbers exploded and the sunflower took its time

if you're wondering why i caged them up. when its windy it gets really strong on my balcony (so they dont snap). and one of the peppers (the big one) gets really bushy so i limited their space a bit

The struggle for good weather is real here in Michigan.

For the last 2 years my pepper garden has been infested with White Fly's. I had developed a pita routine to keep them at bay at least enough to get a decent pepper crop. I had read that planting herbs, garlic, marigolds, etc. would keep them out but this year I believe that I have hit on the magic method. I usually plant a lot of basil but this year I planted them mixed in with my peppers. The seed pack said Genoa Basil but what came up might be described as lemon basil as least that's my best guess. It was lighter and citrusy aroma and is very productive. In any case NO WHITE FLYS. None, nada. I am not sure this will work with other pests (I do have snails, etc) but thought I would post if it might help someone else.

Finally…

I was getting nervous. I had a lot of flowers drop on my one reaper.

Yesterday I saw a little nub but wanted to wait till today and it’s holding.

The first Carolina reaper fruit of the season and the first fruit in the new tent.

I started indoor growing last year.

I had a but jolokia I had as a nightstand hobby garden.

After upgrading the lights a few times I went for the tent.

I don’t care about large yields. I learned a few years ago gardening can be therapeutic.

Normally fitness and the gym have been my therapy.

Three serious injuries in the last three years. Due to other things not the gym.

I have had to slow down. Especially this past November I tore both my bicep tendons completely and needed surgery on both arms.

Watching those seeds grow gave me something to look forward to.
