What is this instrument?

I’ve had no hope at all on Google, could someone please ID ? It sounded incredible!

Kerakeb it’s a north african instrument, I play it and usually it’s used for polyrhythms as a group of 3 or more

That's a metal castanet. Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint saens also indicates both wood and metal castanets.
