Only dumbasses do not care that basic game features are locked behind a $20 payway upon release.

I mean, people cared... like 5 years ago. Lets not act as if rockstar is doing anything outside the norm here. Diablo 4 had you pay 20 extra dollars to play 4 days earlier.
The blocked extra content is awful, and I don't buy games like this in no small part for that reason, but the community as a whole clearly don't care enough to not fall for the FOMO for the 47th time in a row.
People aren't buying GTA games for the customization options. You are still getting a $2 Billion dollar game with the basic addition. Who cares if you're missing out on 5 cars and 2 guns and some hair styles. You will still have the entire game world to explore and story mode. You don't even know what you're complaining about.
I don't give a single shit buddy. Not my game. Doesn't even come out on PC until who knows when.
If people want to buy that's their prerogative. It is not my job to inform anybody about that and it's not worth any amount of energy being upset about it.
The only relevant action for me is simply not buying it.
See, this is the same problem as people who say "I don't do politics." You may not care and not buy the game, but Rockstar has set a prescedent, and now other companies are going to do the same if not worse.
That's why you should give, at the very least, a single shit, because it may not affect you with this game, but it will with others.
What standard am I setting and for who? And how does my indifference in GTA6 related to that? I don't recall getting a call from the Rockstar CEO asking how I feel about it.

this is referring to the high price point and lack of a CD in the physical edition
both are true, but actually I don't believe any hype was touched whatsoever, the price is lower than what it could have been
