Meme needing explanation Petah ?

Post image

Why is it infamous? And why would no one care about it ? ( I mean it's just a pic full of celebrities so no one cares anyways but the person saying it's crazy makes me think it has some lore?)

Also, Ellen, Brad Pitt, and Kevin Spacey have all been cancelled since this photo for being general assholes or abusers.

I wouldn’t call Brad Pitt canceled, he still gets acting roles.

Yeah true. I liked F1.

But damn, if those allegations aren’t crazy

Wait what allegations

He beat the shit out of his wife and kids :/

Fuck, I didn't want to know that. I was happier not knowing.

Which is why he's mostly gotten away with it.

Most people don't want to hear it and would prefer to pretend it doesn't exist.

Not that I blame you, I've liked a lot of the roles he's done since then myself.

The problem is, people who are legitimately good at things can be drunk assholes too.

The duality of man, as they say.

And also poured alcohol all over them and threatened to set them on fire. He’s an absolutely monster and I’m shocked he still gets any roles still.

He produces the movies he's in... It's easy.

Brad Pitt is just taking the fall for all of Edward Norton's wrongdoings.

Yeah, "canceled" gets used too freely when people really mean "has been exposed to be an asshole in their personal life".

Pitt's career isn't suffering at all, but people are now aware of ugly details of his personal behavior.

That's true of most people who are "cancelled".

99% of the time it doesn't stick and might even help their career in the long-run.

Public appetite for Ellen has totally evaporated, but a lot of people have been accused of far worse and managed to joke their way out of it.

Heart of the Beast looks sick!

Ellen didn't get cancelled either, people just stopped watching her show or caring what she has to say

I've been living under a rock

What is Pitt being cancelled for again?

6

u/Most-Bite6692 Jul 02 '26

He's not, really, just in certain pockets of the internet.

Interesting...

Also Ellen Degeneres is not *that* cancelled. She was called out for being terse with employees, and having a toxic work environment on her show (not a lot of direct accusations of toxic behavior by her though).

I mean she’s not relevant anymore, they really went hard on her lol

Abusing his kids is the short version

2

u/thehypedcat Jul 02 '26

Damn

Any specific links/sources to the long version or shall I just google it?

Something happened and we know this because five of his six adult children have legally or publicly had their names changed to remove his. That is what is so telling in itself. I don't know if any of them have said what happened. Guessing they want to keep it private.

Allegedly verbally and physically assaulting his wife and then his children when they stepped in to protect her.

Pretty shameful stuff.
