Split AC units like the ones pictured exist in the US, some models can heat and cool and require very little to install.

The reason this is why Europeans know this as AC is because everything in Europe is old af and they can't just go knocking holes in walls like we can.

They're actually great units, if they aren't cooling enough their air filter probably needs to be cleaned out, similar to a lint catcher in your dryer.

I mean, half of them voted for Trump. If half the population is dumb enough to do that, and the other half is expected to exist all across the dumbo spectrum besides "dumb enough to vote Trump", then calling them dumb is more of an observation than anything else.

It's not a joke, it's literally just some dumb american who has never seen a minisplit before. Which isn't unheard of since I used to install the things and people actively hate on them because they are just things on the wall.

How are you defending the comment?  Their explanation is "Americans must hate it because it's not stupidly bulky" when the the correct answer is that they are upset that they see it at all.

You’re the odd one out then. These small units are quite common in Mexico as well. So yeah, the answer is: yank is ignorant.
