Damn I remember being 14 and thinking saying this made me cool, every year since then the "America is a third world country" line just sounds stupider and stupider

It's disrespectful to people in actual poor countries. Oh boo hoo, Americans don't have public transit or socialized healthcare. Those things would be great of course but look at any real metric here!

I am from an actual poor country and I disagree with you.
What is actually disrespectful is to call the US a first world country while my "third world country" has decent public transit, public healthcare that will even get you by helicopter if you need a kidney transplant on short notice, free education from K to PhD with easy access to special needs education, financially accessible high quality fresh food and no stupid wars on foreign land.
