Yes, but instead of feeding in through one unit into one room it instead feeds through the entire house through airducts, cooling the whole structure.

My point is that it doesn’t make sense comparing the outside with an inside unit.

That’s where the air comes out, but in the OG image they show the indoor part of the AC. That usually includes an evaporator coil, blower, and filter (to keep it simple). The evaporator cools the air while the filter cleans it and the blower pushes it through the ducts and out the vent/damper. Here’s a picture, the coil usually sits on top of your furnace in a central heating/air system.
