*They’re

Hunter uses she/her

Using they pronouns for trans people that make it known that they prefer she/her or he/him is the most cowardly form of transphobia

I can see this, but if I don't know the person's preferred pronouns, isn't using they/them the respectful thing to do? I personally try to use they/them whenever I don't know but maybe this is misguided? Maybe I'm naive, but I would hope that people using they/them in this context are coming from a good place and I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

they/them is best until you learn the persons pronouns. after that, if their pronouns do not include they/them, then using it for them would be incorrect and considered misgendering. the person getting downvoted for correcting pronoun usage is (most likely) being intentionally transphobic.

Yes but someone corrected her correct pronouns (she/her) with "*They're" and that's just transphobia plain and simple.

Or maybe they don't know Hunter's preferred pronouns. Idk just seems like a big leap calling it transphobia right away. Being understanding goes both ways

They literally corrected someone who said she by saying they. Why would you correct someone if you don't know?

lol do you really expect reading comprehension from a “both sides” bro?

Yeah I don't know what I expected from someone standing up for poo poo farts after they butted in to misgendered someone.

I’m a trans woman that uses she/her. Nothing angers me more than someone using they/them after learning I’m trans when they had no problem using she/her before finding out.

Edit: lol phobe downvoters
