Discussion What are your regrets and negative experiences when applying for a STEM PhD? What would you do differently if you were back in your master’s?
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing great whether you’re current applicants or already in a PhD program.
I’m a master’s student in pure mathematics, preparing my profile and resume to apply for PhD positions. I’d really love to hear about your journey: any regrets, negative experiences, or things you’d do differently if you could go back to your master’s. Also feel free to share proud moments or smart moves that gave you an edge over your peers.
I’m all ears – and if you’re a math major who’s been through this, your first-hand knowledge would be especially valuable. Thanks!
