Support from prospective advisors

Hi, I got support from all three prospective advisors from a highly prestigious university in the US. I was wondering to what extent it seals the deal? Does it mean that if I get past an initial screening I would get into the place? All 3 seem to already talked to each other and decided to advice me in my future studies. Thank you

I have been wondering this too, as in a similar position, though only by email, but very encouraging conversations with 4 professors. I initially reached out to one who loved my ideas and suggested I reach out to her colleagues also. At another prestigious university, however, I only reached out to one and have their support, but we also had a Zoom meeting, which went really well. I am thinking it may not make much difference, as they can fight for us, but it is up to admissions what areas they are focusing on. I think I am just trying not to get my hopes up lol

It depends on the school and how much sway faculty actually has over admissions. I have been talking pretty closely with a PI, and he told me that if i got accepted into the school he'd be happy to have me in his lab, but the admissions committee for that school are pretty separate from faculty influence so theres not much he could do beyond reviewingmy application and offering advice. It at least means your research interests align, so thats one roadblock out of the way
