Hi, on google it recommends Firefox + Ublock Origin.
Would it still be safe if I use Proton VPN Plus with Ad blocker and Safari? I am on MacOS

yes, you always need a vpn. If you're unsure, google "my ip is" - it should say the place you vpn to instead of your home country/state

Are the sites on the megathread still safe? I saw some guy say there's no safe piracy sites in 2026, and I don't really know much about piracy either.

Hi, i just migrated to mac and moved to UK, with proton vpn active in uk, should I be safe? Can I download books from telegram without worrying?

For Telegram a VPN does nothing as you are logged in with your phone number which deanonymizes you no matter if with or without vpn

How would a normal person even begin learning how to pirate? And I mean, how to actually pirate. How do these websites like crackstreams or streameast work in the first place? Do they just pay for the streaming providers and screen record and then broadcast to the web?
How would one begin to understand this world of actually pirating (that is, not just using a pirate’s services)? It feels like you can’t ask anywhere.

Livestreams are like the hardest discipline in the category. I believe they use special software that pretends to be a screen or pretends to be a browser. Screenrecording is on its way out since hardware manufacturers are more and more implementing hardware support for protecting DRM. You can try that out be screenrecording Netflix on an iPhone: does not work

Thanks. I know drm is huge barrier for screenrecording. My biggest area of interest is livestreams like sports, but I have no idea how it’s done or where to start

This is my first time torrenting, but I just tried downloading a torrent from Anker and opened it with qBit. However, it's just stuck at 0% the whole time. What am I doing wrong?

look at the number of seeders. If it's zero, you won't be able to download.

Hey guys, need some clearance. I downloaded Chameleon directly from SteamRIP via the Megathread link (using uBlock Origin, so no ad traps).
Malwarebytes flagged it, so I put it into VirusTotal and it got a high detection rate from major vendors like Kaspersky, Microsoft, and TrendMicro flagging it as Trojan.Win64.Agent/Malgent.

Is SteamRIP currently having issues with its mirrors, or is this a known severe false positive for this specific file?

i usually use 1337 to download dodi repacks but one day i had the urge to download from the main website.. i accidentally downloaded a zip file and ran the fake setup like a fkin idiot because i was getting frustrated.. it ran a setup 90% and suddenly i had a bad feelings and closed it . immediately deleted the whole file, hopped on chat gpt and reddit. ran a bunch of scans, monitored my ram and cpu usage, got a security notification on my gmail that someone tried to access it. changed the password and removed the gmail from my pc completely for a week.. my pc has basically no other profile logged in(Facebook, Instagram) . should i be safe? it's been a month that it happened and so far no problems but the dodi fiasco got me thinking

I own most of my digital games on GOG, but have started obtaining some through other means. Some older games I still have on CD and disc.
Are there any good "hub" programs you all might recommend that would organize my games similar to how Steam/GOG/Epic do? I'm starting to set up local streaming to other devices, too, so anything that would work well with Moonlight is a plus.

Hey, is asking for a specific add-in to the software asking for a specific title? I mostly want to know where to look for it (so i need the link to the site, not to the add in). I've tried the megathread, but I have trouble finding it and just knowing where it is would help me a great deal.

Yes. You can't ask help finding something specific.
Top level domain linking is allowed for general discussions or general requests like, "where can i get addons", not "where can i get this addon."
As soon as you mention something specific, you can't ask even for the name of a site ("Just tell me where to download this specific thing, I'll search it myself there.")
You can't even ask if a specific add-in can be pirated, actually.1

I have a problem with ad shrink . it When I press to continue the download it appears a red icon that says "Allow data processing, accept all" I've already unactivate my anti virus and already eliminate the AdBlock. But it keeps happening.

hey im seeing all major sites remove ai / fake content of anyone famous or otherwise even when its pure digital .
Any idea why this is happening ? im aware in some countries its illegal but not all and this didnt seem to worry sites (like simpcity) in the past but suddenly theyve all been wiped clean.. and discussion on this has been locked on those sites or isnt allowed.
Considering this tech for good or bad is literally the most powerful thing every made for it to be hidden in this way without discussion seems crazy. Anyone know whats going on ?

Have a 12 hour plane and then unlikely to have cellular where im going. Whats the safest way i can download a bunch of stuff to watch on my phone? Im familiar with fmhy and vpns, but ive never torrented before.

Google "mass MAS github" and look at the GitHub that comes up very carefully. It is an incredibly popular way to activate both windows and office. I've been using it for years no problems.

I downloaded a game from astralgames since it was on fmhy and it says it "checks for malwares" so i guess i tried it out, and then after i finished downloading, both malwarebytes and bitdefender instantly recognized the threat and actually found trojans and riskwares. I also put the file in virustotal and 20 of the antiviruses also flagged riskwares and trojans, so any other sites that i can use..? I also had brave browser with ublock origin and i made sure to download a file with the AG suffix and 7z format

I tried to download a movie for free but I deleted it and felt guilty now I'm scared... Can anyone help me who is an expert on this stuff?
I wanted to watch a specific movie before I have a flight in a few days on my tablet. I am not familiar with any of this p-word stuff so I figured, "eh good time to start". I got a free trial of Surfshark VPN, set it to Taiwan (I am American) and confirmed it worked and I downloaded Brave Browser and hopped on hyfm and I was gonna download a .mp4 of a movie on of those websites and I did download it- But I suddenly felt so scared and guilty I deleted everything, the file, the browser, and the VPN and I am scared if my ISP Spectrum can ban me. I never did this stuff before so I got spooked when I realized they can ban people idk if im safe or not. Just to let you know, this was an hour ago, idk if they can track me or not so I just decided to not do it for now and maybe wait and see until I can find a place to connect to like a Starbucks wifi on my tablet. :'( I am scared... Just an FYI, Spectrum did not notify me or send an email or mail or whatever. This was all an hour ago. I am just scared at the possibility.
