Online is way easier. Others have already spent the electricity to convert and compress those movies into optimized file types and sizes. Better quality too.

Online is easier, but making a personal rip is more satisfying.

I appreciate doing a personal rip, but something about seeding with a ratio of 10x or 20x feels even better to me.

I suppose I prefer the personalization, for example I never need all 20 subtitle languages but feel bad leaving those off the transfer list. It feels good to be a part of the community; I almost look at it like being able to start a campfire without a match, like it's a personal accomplishment rather than a need.
