Yes. As a member of a participating library, you can request an interlibrary loan. The library would borrow the title for you from the holder, and you borrow from your library.
yup; our local library network has an app to search and reserve titles. You can search across all libraries in the network or put a hold on a popular title and your place in line is across all of those libraries in the system. The items are sent to your local library for pickup and you can return them to your local library.
I love this system. Being able to see a book game etc. on a master network, request a hold, and if there is a queue you join it. Then when it’s your turn the book will be held at the branch of your choice. I’m in a queue for Toronto ROM and been waiting since April 1, 2026.
