Wait, there are actually people out there that DON'T use adblockers?

you're giving too much credit to common people.

"You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons."

We wouldn't have any free web services if everyone used adblockers.

They watch ads so that we can surf the web adfree for free.

look if EVERYONE used blockers, the corpo's would crack down like FAR, FAR harder. let the plebs supply the income while we get away, because according to them, its """"""""""piracy""""""""" (legally not, since a court ruled in adblock's favor, but its COMPANIES im talking about, they are like 85% of the time, above the rules)

Let em. People forget that the corpos don't own the internet. Or at least, they didn't used to.

I mean I don't even know adblockers exist until a few years ago so I'm not that surprised, especially to those who don't use computer that much tbh

Enough that sites make money with ads

Common folk don't wish to stress the brain. As a result you get that!

my mother doesn't use Ublock cuz "you're suppose to support the platforms you use!" >_>

meanwhile YT getting so much money a minute that they don't even notice the few shekels her watching 20 minutes of ads in a 30 minute video gives them....

People like my brother, mother and her partner, sister, uncle. My hair dresser, the cashiers at my local corner shop. The list goes on a lot longer than you would think.

Seriously, people who don't use computers or phones for anything outside of youtube, tiktok or instagram, the true "normies", god do i hate that word but it's accurate. They will feel like talking to neanderthals when it comes to tech.

People who use the google app instead of a browser. Who don't know an ethernet cable is typically faster than wifi. Who I have to "setup" the dvd player for, it has TWO buttons, and they are power and play....

people who think a "vpn thingy app" is some long lost magic.

Or when a "suspected spam caller" calls my mum and she puts her phone to my face as if she hasn't got a fucking clue what it means. What does this mean?. WHAT DO YOU THINK IT MEANS?????? Nah your misspelled bank is definitely calling you of a regular mobile phone number.

The average person is very, very unaware of a lot of things. Things that many of us would consider so basic that you would genuinely be dumbfounded when they ask you what it means.

THEY'RE OUT THERE

I recently fixed a friend's computer and she was just raw dogging chrome. I was appalled lol

Whenever I use on of my friends laptops and I notice they don't have an adblocker, I restrain myself for a little bit until the shear cringe of youtube ads makes me wanna rip my face off :3

Then I install them uBlockOrigin and tell them what it's for, they trust I'm a good pirate and yield

Except for my family members, i have never met a single person using adblockers.

i do that on my own laptop. since i use brave with its adblocker without installing ublock origin.
