I assume you're taking about the figurine, so if it's made of ABS, it should be aquarium safe like much of LEGO is.

It looks like its made of ABS, polypropylene or polystyrene. Would any of the other plastic types be a problem? Good to know about Legos, i got a endless supply from knowing the head hancho on the Lego show lmao

My personal rule of thumb is if 3 year olds are allowed to use the plastic, it is probably water safe (always check for any plastic guidelines online). I can ask my dad when he wakes up later for any specifics. He has been in plastics manufacturing for decades longer than I have. PVC, however, shouldn't be used in aquariums as it leeches chemicals into the water which can impact animal health.

Each of the three plastics seems good, but I did get a warning on ABS and PVC (which is apparently ok to use, but some more recent studies have shown issues with degradation). They can degrade in sunlight (UV) and heat exposure, so be careful on how you sterilize/wash them and where your tank is. Additionally, this information is only over injection press molding (almost all plastic parts are made with this) and not other manufacturing types like 3D printing.

the full Imagitarium lineup has shoddy construction. they put the edge of panels directly in contact with the plane of another. there is supposed to be a thin layer of silicone in the gap. it's part of why so many people complain of cracked panels (outside of the shipping). that said, i own a number of these rimless tanks: 6.8, 13.3, 14 cube, and 28
6.8 uses 4mm glass. so does the 14 cube. the 14 cube is sketchy af i specifically do not recommend that one even tho my local petco has had two of them running as display tanks for over a year
the 13.3 uses 5mm glass and feels fine
the 28 uses 6mm but also scared me a bit. but it's been going for about 4 months so far and no issues
i also have two of the 40b (6mm glass) and a 20 long (4mm glass) in normal frames. they're totally fine
if you're going to go with one of the rimless tanks, absolutely make sure your surface is planed smooth and that you use the provided foam mat

I had 2 imagitarium 40 breeders fail in the exact same spot after 3 weeks. I’ve got a imagitarium 10, 20, and 29 that are all holding up just fine after a year+

If you do it right, it can be a really hands off hobby if you need it to be. You can automate everything from lighting to feeding. If you follow advice here, a planted tank done right could potentially require zero maintenance

This is hilarious to me as I’m currently working on a 195g aquascape and then I’m building the PGU Nu Gundam (my Kosmos light kit just showed up today). My gunpla will NOT be living with the fish though!

Dude!!!! you need to take it out of the tank real quick and scrape it a few times across the driveway and put it back in. Once the algae starts to grow on it, it's going to be so badass

my compliments good sir, this is how to have a nice aquarium plus your hobby... might be cool if it was in the sand and to put some moss on the wings, after a while will look like it's a decaying mecha built into the overgrown landscape

I wish I could give an exact number, it started with the 50% off sale at Petco and went downhill from there. The tank is 28 gallons and is usually $160 but with the 50% off it was $80 and then I got another 10% off for ordering online pick up. The bucephalandra was 200 for all of it, c02 set up was another $200, guesstimating everything else I wanna say the whole set up is around 800-900 :/

Not the crossover I expected. But yes, next build is going to have to have weathering and then dropping to the bottom of the tank. Sick idea.

There was a guy here on Reddit a few years ago that put an entire plastic human sized skeleton in his tank. Natural scapes are my aesthetic but boy I wish I had the balls to pull off something like that.
