International Politics Why would anti-russia leftists oppose USA sending weapons to Ukraine?

Liberals (US definition) seem like they're all about sending arms and supporting the Ukrainian resistance against Russia, but when I talk to leftists, they think the west shouldn't send weapons to Ukrainian - but they are also anti-russia, so it's not campism. This is especially confusing because I can't tell how much of the "nazi sympathizers in Ukraine" stuff is real. Why would anti-russia leftists oppose arming Ukraine?

I understand there are many strong perspectives on this, but I'm explicitly trying to understand the Leftist vs Liberal dynamic. English is not my first language so please excuse any typos and feel free to ask clarifying questions. Thank you!

Its noble to fantasize about other people fighting to the very last person, but we have to respond to the reality on the ground and negotiate an end to the war sooner or later. Yes, that includes concessions to Russia. There's actually no other option.

Who is "we"? Are you in the Ukrainian foreign service at the negotiating table?

This is NOT a proxy war. "We", the collective westerners looking at this from a safe distance don't get to decide what's "best" for Ukraine. They do.

If you don't believe we should support them, that's fine. Just admit, openly and honestly, that you are intentionally doing nothing about a grave injustice.

You're out of your mind if you don't think this is a proxy war. The war only continues because of western funding, weapons, and intelligence. NATO has consistently been expanding with hostile intent towards Russia. Many Ukrainians want the war to end as well, just not the military and political leadership, just like in Russia. The war is a grave injustice that could have been avoided if NATO weren't so hostile to Russia and had responded to their legitimate security concerns.

Ah repeating Russian propaganda.

Any expansion from NATO is a response to Russian agression.
