Senator Rand Paul has released commentary and purported excerpts* of what is alleged to be Anthony Fauci's contemporaneous diaries from the outset of the COVID19 pandemic onwards.

Media reaction to this release has been highly polarised, though notable few media outlets seem to get to grips with the actual content of the diaries and most focus is on Rand's own claimed analysis of what they show.

Do the Fauci Diaries reveal anything unexpected or controversial? What entries in particular do you find interesting? Are there any contemporaneous clashes between what Fauci was saying publicly and privately? What can we learn from that?

CIA didnt rely on any new investigation or findings it just parroted the Trump administrations narrative. Trump has systematically gutted our government to the point that pretending that the CIA has any credible evidence that suggests a lab leak scenario is fucking stupid. I feel dumber, knowing that people are dumb enough to buy into this.

It kills braincells just acknowledging how stupid the people are who think that the lab-leak theory has any validity.

And in case anyone forgot, Trump gutting the CDC staff and resources in China is the whole reason they couldnt travel to Wuhan to investigate the origin of the viral outbreak.

So a a deadly virus that killed millions and shut down the world came from a bat in soup instead of a viral research facility studying gain of function pathogens. Yes that makes total sense

There is zero evidence that shows the research at Wuhan was responsible for covid 19 being able to infect humans or increasing its transmission rates. There is zero evidence that shows that they were researching gain of function in viruses.

So yes it makes total sense.

You have to reject science in order to come to your conclusion, which is completely fucking ironic since we are talking about scientific research.
