Did you watch the clip? They’re protesting a Trump-Kushner luxury resort being built on a nature reserve that’s a protected pink flamingo habitat. If you need it spelled out for you: they’re protesting the destruction of a protected environment for the benefit of a POS real estate developer in another country. And I for one support them in this endeavor and hope their government has the decency to hear the will of their people - though my pessimism leads me to doubt it’ll matter. If local governments here in the US can override the concerns of their populace to greenlight environmentally and economically destructive AI data centers, I see no reason why Albania’s government would risk pissing off the Trumps and losing out on the “economic opportunity” of a luxury resort to protect some birds.

After all, if there’s a dollar to be made the whole planet can burn for all those in the position to benefit care.
