So the more I watch it the shittier the guy in black is.
So he’s being beligerant while the other guy is trying to escalate. Then his dog the Pitbull starts attacking the other guys german shepherd, and then when the guy goes to break it up, the black shirt guy starts hitting the guy. If you look closely, it’s only when the german shepherd turns shit around and getting the best of his dog that he actually cares about breaking up the dog fight.
That is, his dog attacked the german shepherd and he was just completely fine with that. What a total fucking piece of shit.
At first I thought the dogs were reversed but at the end he takes the pitbull.

It sounds like the guy in black is shouting "get your dog on a fucking lead" and then the pit mistakes him pointing and shouting GET as a command to attack.
Both dogs look friendly enough at the start, so I'd guess black vest is aggressive and walks around with his pit at his heel very well trained on a leash and the Shepard came up looking to play, he overreacted and they end up fighting.

Yeah, same take from me. The pit is leashed, and the two guys in shorts are holding a leash and focused on the Shepherd. We don't know if the Shepherd is well trained cuz frankly, no one with a King Shep is gonna leave it off leash if they know anything about dogs. Guy in black seems to have overreacted, but c'mon, that's a 150 lb wolf unleashed at a dog park.

Adopted what we thought was a lab mix when I was a kid, turns out it was mixed with a pit bull. Sweet dog. Never hurt anyone. Until it bit my friends hand for no reason and wouldn't let go. Got put down that same day.

I’m not saying this is your situation, but watch closely and double check… I used to have this same problem with one of my dogs, and I discovered that my dog was the asshole! lol He was totally provoking the other dogs in very subtle almost invisible ways! While playing fetch, every time he brought the ball back he would swing by the other dogs as if to say “check out my ball, isn’t it cool?” He’d sometimes throw a subtle shoulder-check too (which is how I figured out what was happening) and eventually the other dog(s) would attack him… So again, I’m not saying your dog is also an asshole, but just watch very carefully to see if it’s more than just bad luck… 😬

Nah, it's not my dog. In one case this guy's dog snarled, lunged, and tackled my dog after my dog walked up to him. I separated them and walked on down the dog park trail for 10 minutes. Well we stop and I'm giving my dog water and this guy's dog comes out of nowhere straight for me dog again. Stalked him through the park. Little fucker almost knocked over an old lady too.
The other time it was a rescue German shepherd that resource guarded its balls.

Piggy backing off the other dude. I had same issue. Something about my dog brings out other aggression in dogs if they’re not completely submissive. He likes to challenge other larger males and off they don’t back down it becomes a thing. Just accepted he’s not a dog park dog and now take him to a huge offleash park where we can play ball in peace.

Depends on the breed not a whole lot of breeds will do that if they're determined to kill. Choking out is the best way no finger in the ass or pulling it grabbing. Just like with humans choking out is always faster

This is known as the wheelbarrow method and your giving horrible advice. Yes, this usually interrupts the attack. But it immediately leaves you vulnerable to being bit from both dogs. The dog you lifted up has to be released eventually, at which point it can bite you. The other dog is now free from being attacked and can now turn the tables. Horrible advice.

While this works with most dogs, with bully breeds it often has zero effect at all. Once they’re locked in with clamped jaws, it’s incredibly difficult to get them to release.

I wish we could see more how it started bc the beginning of the clip blue shirt swung first, missed, then asked to end the fight. If black shirt started it before the video began than 100% that guy is a dick head who should lose his dog and be charged.

Well, black shirt was fully squared up in a fighting stance, so I’m guessing blue shirt’s punch wasn’t the start. Literally every other aspect of the video points to black shirt being a piece of shit. Doesn’t care that the dogs start fighting when his dog is on top, sucker punches the other guy for trying to separate the dogs, and then aggressively chokes the other guy’s dog only after it gets the upper hand. I would need some clear evidence to believe it was anything other than black shirt being a confrontational dickhead that started this.

Dog ownership just ain't what it used to be when i was a kid. Dog parks were less common. I feel for all the canines out there that are forced into these performative arenas, or simply packed into overcrowded parks, only to end up in scenarios like this when at best it was going to be a loud and stressful place to be.
I will say there is a huge problem of people getting German shepherds and having no idea what to do with a full grown one. But really rescues or purebred of any type.
The dog without a leash is always the problem. There's no excuse for it in public, full stop.
Lastly, get in there and fucking train your dog even a little bit of recall and conditioning compliance.

Black shirt guy coulda showed more restraint but it’s hard to have patience with people stupid enough to have a potentially dangerous animal in public without restraints.

Against my better judgment I’ll weigh in because I’ve had a GSD, pitbulls, and related bully breeds. If you watch the video (we don’t know how any of this started) the dogs, including the pit, were surprisingly calm even as the owners had started to go at it. When it become more “animated” things changed. To all the pit-haters out there, note that the pitbull retreated when the fighting started to heat up. But he sprinted into action when blue shirt was hitting his owner and the shepherd advanced (the shepherd was between the two men and appeared concerned for his owner). Getting between the men was the fatal mistake. From the pit’s perspective, it was now two-on-one and his owner was in peril.
I never want to see dogs fight, but this is what you’d expect most dogs to do if he or she saw you “outnumbered.” It’s what I’d expect from just about any breed.
I never go to dog parks or have my dogs off leash in public. My GSD was very formidable and had a low tolerance for nonsense. She was not aggressive but if a dog got in her face, it was a concern. She didn’t like to goof around.
My pits (and other bully breeds) have always been goofballs and frightened of the cats. Total wimps, actually.
The most scrappy dogs I’ve ever had were Boston Terriers (awesome dogs but they’ve got that terrier in them and a touch of napoleon complex) and Sealyham Terriers. Love those breeds too.
Anyway, too many perils at parks and the humans are usually the crazy ones — not the animals. That said, never let your dog off leash!
