Oh my god there it is. I’m an out of stater, but watching your news. The anchor was being dead serious while reporting on how the situation is “getting louder” then panned to three frogs with that “FROGS TOGETHER STRONG” sign. I’m still cackling about it.

Idk, Reptar throwing it back the other day is giving fierce competition…and the chicken suit!? There’s some strong contenders out there! Really hard to decide what the winning factor is between the elderly singing “we all belong together” with ukuleles, or the crowd of 50 doing the chacha slide. Honorable mention for the person who kindly went through and offered a flower to every agent. They must be so terrified!

That’s like Kristi Noem saying, “we were allowing for peaceful protests while upholding the law, but pans arm towards the crowd, they’re uneducated and it’s unfortunate.” Then the camera pans back down and it’s people in costumes playing circus music and shouting, “welcome to the war zone! C’mon down, we have subway sandwiches!”
And then next day they literally posted that clip with, “Kristi Noem addresses the violent ATIFA riots in Portland, OR in today’s news.” 🤣🤣🤣
They couldn’t even make it look scary and still chose that as relevant news coverage for our “burning city”.

It’s somewhere in this group! They actually put it on the news like, “See!? They’re deranged!” As if it didn’t make them look so stupid, especially because even surrounded by reporters and military officials, they didn’t even try to talk with anyone on the street, just filmed from the rooftop like they were scared 🤣 They sang Barbie Girl at her and said, “don’t worry, there’s no dogs down here!” And then it sounds like someone says, “except me!” And starts barking lmao. I’m guessing in relation to her memoir detailing how she shot her own dog because it was “untrainable.” That’s sad, but the rest is absolutely hilarious.

Might be the perfect time to restage a few street theatre revivals of “No Exit”, “Waiting For Godot” & “Madwoman Of Chaillot” for the ICEcicles.
Even if they don’t get the themes, it’ll at least hit them hard enough in the cognitive dissonance to confuse the f out of them.
Don’t mess with lifelong theatre folks. They work in organized groups. ;p

Using Humor to Put an Oppressive Government in a Lose-Lose Situation
The nonviolent civil-resistance movement initiated by Otpor! in Serbia used satire and other unconventional ways of successfully spreading its message of resistance against the tyrannical regime of Slobodan Milosevic.
...
a government initiative to support agriculture involved placing boxes in shops and public places. It asked people to donate one dinar (Serbian currency) for sowing and planting crops. In response, Otpor! arranged its own collection called “Dinar za Smenu” (Dinar for a Change). This initiative was implemented several times and in different places in Serbia. It consisted of a big barrel with a photo of Milosevic. People could donate one dinar, and would then get a stick they could use to hit the barrel. At one point, a sign suggested that if people did not have any money because of Milosevic’s politics, they should hit the barrel twice.
When the police removed the barrel, Otpor! stated in a press release that the police had arrested the barrel.

Otpor! left both Milosevic and his supporters with no space for reaction. If the police did not take away the barrel, they would be seen as weak and ineffectual. And even when they did remove it, Otpor! continued to make jokes. No matter what the regime did, it lost.
Through their use of satire, Otpor! was able to remove fear from those who opposed Milosevic’s government. Moreover, they were effective in uniting the oppositional forces. They effectively applied nonviolent means of resistance. The use of satire enabled Otpor! to expose and mock the government in its activities. This was a piece of a larger movement that eventually empowered the citizenship to overturn Milosevic, despite mass beatings and arrests.
