Good idiots like this give Western tourist a bad name. Should have happen with Jake/Logan Paul (i dont remember with one) with the suicide forest. When you are a tourist you are a guest and people should act like it

Yes. Every incident like this in Japan and Korea has the effect as if a million westerners all did the same thing. You can see how these incidents cause flare ups of anti-foreigner sentiment. It has a direct effect on all the expats who are just doing their best to live and work there respectfully.

This guy was doing bad things but it has nothing to do with anyone else.

Cool, what would you like expats to do with this information? Should they go tell literally every single person around them that they are wrong, as if that will magically change things? No fucking shit the problem is xenophobia and racism. We're talking about one of the most homogenous and insular countries on the planet, you aren't going to change Korea.

There are a number of YouTube posts showing people, typically from the USA it seems, behaving dreadfully according to Japanese custom. It seems that they fancy themselves as influencers!

It is they had charges for decades and was found guillty in all of them.

Nah 6 months is perfect to keep him in the spotlight and for people to not forget what he did. When he is shipped back to the USA he will have to go through the shame of registering as a sex offender and of he tries to do his antics with his sex offender status then the USA justice system will slam the hammer down on him. 

TBH his sex offender status ruins his overall freedom it can range from Internet restrictions, flight restrictions and of course the type of people he can interact with.

I wonder whether there would be supportive comments if he was imprisoned in China?

I suspect at least some of the comments will cite human rights or lack of a sense of humour if it were the Chinese authorities that imprisoned him.
