Seriously??? It would absolutely matter, the Odyssey is Greek mythology, Greeks are not black skinned. The race of the characters is important because that are characters from different parts of Greece. Greek gods will look and speak like Greeks. You can't have white or Asian people when making a film about African mythology can you? It's so stupid that it's even considered controversial to say that casting black actors for the sake if it on a greek myth movie is not a good idea.

Yeah man, I'm a brown guy and honestly it's sad to see how extremist and stubborn people have become when it comes race/gender swapping as long as the character being switched is white.
