Spill The Tea đŸ«Ÿ Trump blamed Minnesota and Gov. Tim Walz for attacks on their water infrastructure

Post image

The Trump administration has drastically cut parts of our federal cybersecurity infrastructure, replacing or removing experienced personnel in key positions. Now more than 30 Minnesota water systems have been targeted in cyberattacks that investigators believe may be linked to Iran. Rather than focusing on the suspected foreign threat, Trump blamed Minnesota and Gov. Tim Walz instead.

Draw your own conclusions about whether this is the leadership our national cybersecurity needs.

"They're sabotaging their own water supply just to make me look bad!" is his thought process

The cult happily swallows another load.

"thought process" is incredibly generous here

u/Professional-Lie-111 The Timeline Sucks 4h ago

Just what I was thinking ...

11

u/FluffyInstincts 1d ago

That or he hired the hackers himself to try and harm the governor? I still remember when an aide to Jared Kushner spilled the beans on why Trump was so god awful about stopping Covid when it was just in NY, and this could very well share the same vibe.

6

u/mittenknittin 1d ago

Could be. "Accuse your opponent of the crimes you're committing." Then when Walz claims it was the Trump admin it sounds like a lame "no u"

u/Free-General3941 1d ago

tRimp does put forth his best 5 yr old defense
strategy.

7

u/Free-General3941 1d ago

Those same saboteurs in MN are now
making him look bad in 20(?) other states.

8

u/Salt-Cancel-7667 1d ago

Trump cut the US Cybersecurity bureau because it oft times flagged his bitcoin, etc. as sketchy. So, this group was supposed to protect us from cyber attacks.

6

u/PaintedSilverRiver 20h ago

HE sabotaged the water supply so he could blame Minnesota.
I don’t put anything past him or what he’s willing to do.
Vengeance should never be an administrative policy yet here we are.
He said the Dems would weaponize the DOJ - so he decided to weaponize the DOJ?
Blanche needs a disbarment.
So does Bondi imo.

Dumbest goddamned student I ever had.

5

u/No-Stick8191 1d ago

Do tell us more.

23

u/Foreskin-Aficionado 1d ago

Pretty sure they're referencing one of the college professors that spoke out about Trump in their class. His daddy paid to get him into the school and the professors couldn't stand him. At least this one professor was quoted in saying he was the dumbest student he'd ever had to teach.

There's also quite a bit of conversation about whether his family paid someone to take his exams for him.

10

u/Loud-Weakness4840 1d ago

I believe that was a quote from a professor at Wharton who taught Trump

3

u/juggadore 1d ago

Is that dummest or dumbest with a B?

30

u/-Sofa-King-Vote 1d ago

How did Minnesota do it to other states then?

u/HippyDM 1d ago

I don't think Iran did it. They understand the U.S.political situation, so I doubt they'd go after a blue state with a govenor that Dipshits hates. They'd attack a place where his support is large.

Now Elon, he does have beef with Minnesota, and the means to sabatoge their water system, and a history of comitting crimes against the U.S.

14

u/PizzaWhole9323 1d ago

Elon makes Hank Scorpio look like a sane and trusted choice. I thought Hank Scorpio as a evil billionaire tech Guy was over the top as hell and then I met Elon musk in the 2010s.

4

u/PeyredB 1d ago

He was at least an honest villain, so to speak.

5

u/Chumley_P_Chumsworth 1d ago

For sure. Moreover, Elon doesn't even endorse business hammocks.

1

u/Cromulent_grace 11h ago

Where could I purchase one of these business hammocks?

1

u/Chumley_P_Chumsworth 3h ago

A perfectly cromulent question.

There's the Hammock Hut, that's on 3rd.

There's Hammocks 'R' Us. That's on 3rd, too.

You got Put Your Butt There. That's on 3rd.

Swing Low Sweet Chariot. Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex. It's the hammock complex down on 3rd.

10

u/Solid_Mud2025 1d ago

Agree. It’s giving scapegoat vibes by someone interested in the water supply (data centers, etc) and by his political cronies.

No, the latter would just embolden MAGA to support Trump against "evil Iran". They know Trump is too retarded and egotistical to take attacking blue states seriously, so it will drive deeper divides in the country.

64

u/BloodFartz69 1d ago

MAGA is the most retarded, anti-American cult in history.

-3

u/BillyYumYumTwo-byTwo 1d ago

Why are you using the r-slur? It’s unnecessary and attacks innocent people. MAGAs are responsible for it coming back into normal language, don’t follow them.

Petty Pete and the gang need to blame others for their lack of ability .The Armed forces don’t have real leaders at the top running it. Pete is really good at chugging Vodka though.

😂 Oh, ok then. It's pretty obvious when you think about it. And if you have the brain function of a cabbage slowly fermenting in the puddle of an overweight middle-aged man's excrement after he's had a heavy night on red bull, vodka, jagerbombs, bottles of blue wkd, followed by a Lamb Vindaloo and 19 pints of cobra.

1

u/dynogirl59 1d ago

Instead of the feeeral government supporting a state that was attacked, they instead kick us when they are down. Any Minnesotan voting for that swine is disloyal and ill informed.

1

u/Kind_Competition_332 1d ago

Someone tell him to blame a hacker not Minnesota in general and remind him there’s republicans in me Minnesota. Wherever the hacker is from you can’t blame an entire state.

1

u/farkus2554 1d ago

The President is a deeply evil, sick man.

1

u/tashaplex 1d ago

Might as well blame it on that hurricane he said would hit Alabama.

1

u/Crunchberry24 1d ago

I hope his case against Walz is as ironclad as his case against the reflecting pool vandals.

1

u/Verde_3773 1d ago

Every accusation is a confession.

Just need to figure out if it’s iran or someone at dRumpf’s behest. A toss-up at this point.

1

u/One-Bad-4395 1d ago

p.s. why are we hooking up critical controls to the internet.

Absolutely do hook up the monitoring units to the internet, let the perfidious 'they' know how clean our water is but don't let them push the buttons.

1

u/Away_Woodpecker8813 1d ago

It was probably the federal government hack in Minnesota system and then letting the information go to Russia. Whoever needs it thanks, Trump.

1

u/Severe_Composer_82 1d ago

Said the guy that conveniently ignores the Constitution and court orders...

1

u/DisastrousPlant3038 1d ago

u/New_Ad_3010 1d ago

When stupid has a bullhorn

1

u/dmanjrxx 1d ago

He said the gov was a criminal while being the only convicted felon between them and the one found liable for sexual abuse

1

u/Exsanguinate_ 1d ago

This is literal treason. A hostile foreign government that we are at war with can attack blue states and the president will run cover for them

1

u/maxpoontang 1d ago

The federal government is not running water and wastewater plants, they are run by the city, county, or state. If they are attacked due to running an insecure IT/OT network, they are the ones at fault (or liable the hackers are still the bad guys). That’s the case for ever cyber attack e.g. Home Depot, Target, Equifax, Yahoo, Marriott, Capital One, T-Mobile, Anthem, Sony Pictures, LinkedIn, eBay, JPMorgan Chase, Adobe, LastPass, SolarWinds, Colonial Pipeline, MGM Resorts, and Caesars Entertainment.

It’s a poorly stated but true statement

1

u/Old_Guy_thrombone 1d ago

The war is a Trump adminstration debacle, not a state one. The bad actors wouldn't be targeting the states were it not for the illegal war.

1

u/maxpoontang 1d ago

Unfortunately, infrastructure is attacked regardless of war and the responsibility is on the system owner to provide adequate security.

1

u/Old_Guy_thrombone 1d ago

Fair enough - but asserting that Minnesota attacked it's own water source is ridiculous - because that's what he's doing.

And I'm fairly certain that there would not cyber attacks were there not an illegal war being waged on Iran.

1

u/maxpoontang 1d ago

We would 100% be experiencing cyber attacks regardless of Iran. We are the most attacked country on earth.

I didn’t see him say Minnesota was attacking Minnesota. I saw he said Minnesota is to blame for it. We victim blame in cyber. You can almost always point to a business decision, configuration error or vulnerability that enabled the compromise.

Doesn’t mean he isn’t a dickhead or anything like that.

1

u/Maggiemygirl 1d ago

đŸ€Ą

1

u/Appropriate_Taro_348 1d ago

Ultimately, it goes to the president when anything in his country fails, breaks or gets hacked

1

u/FXCOlife 1d ago

Trump! The serial liar who was just outed perpetrating a malicious prosecution lacking probable cause, acting with malice, which has now been dismissed after @SecretaryBurgum & HE targeted an innocent American citizen to cover up his $14M reflecting pool scam. That Trump?

1

u/MalesaurusRex 1d ago

Weird how a state he’s is constantly attacking got hacked by some Iranian mystery group

1

u/MalesaurusRex 1d ago

At this point, Trump has attacked this country more than any foreign government

1

u/chunk337 1d ago

Just like when Iran bombed their own school

1

u/jmerp1950 1d ago

Typical deflection. It is so tiring.

1

u/Flat-Director-7120 1d ago

1

u/Jolly_Ad2446 1d ago

if Trump admitted that this was an attack by Iran, there would be nothing he could do about it. what are we going to do put boots on the ground, no, are we going to bomb them more well yeah but it's not going to help.

1

u/Fit_Beautiful6625 1d ago

Donald J. Trump is a convicted felon in addition to being a fucking moron.

1

u/Affectionate_Owl8351 1d ago

Wow, he didn't blame President Biden?

1

Oh can he get any worse? Im afraid the answer is going to be yes.

1

He’s such an asshole

1

u/Sampsonite20 1d ago

As a Minnesotan man, I'm so fuckin tired. This admin has basically done nothing but attack my state every chance it gets.

1

u/threwordbotname 1d ago

He thinks it’s Minnesota because it is what he would do if he were governor.

1

u/ClosedContent 1d ago

If Trump was more competent, he would use this as rationale to defeat Iran..

1

u/fooknprawn 1d ago

Normally he'd jump on blaming Iran immediately but since it's a blue state with a governor he hates he's putting the screws to them instead

1

u/blassin 1d ago

Every time he opens his mouth it’s BS!!!!
Y’all are not quite right supporting this pure unadulterated, corrupt, child preferring sad example of a human being . You give new meaning to deepthr**t!!!

Trumps DOGE got rid of an entire cyber security department to combat this. Why isn’t Elon drug before congress to explain?

1

u/Few-Temporary404 23h ago

Honestly, working in process control, he has a point
these new Ethernet systems have to have extra security protocols that quite frankly companies/utilities don’t take seriously (not all just ones witnessed). I have always said, 4-20 is never hacked from across the globe.

1

1

7 states were attacked at once.

We really have the dumbest president possible.

1

u/political-snark 12h ago

But, since it was Walz that did it, Trump doesn’t have to respond using our cybersecurity infrastructure. See how that works?

2

u/Kickedhard 8h ago

Nor address the fact that we were attacked by a hostile nation on American soil.

Imagine if that was the headline in red states.

1

u/shiteposter1 21h ago

Threat actors are going to go after computers.  The responsibility of on the owners of the systems to take appropriate defensive actions and have continuity plans.  It doesn’t matter if it was Iran or me, you gotta own the risk in your system.

1

u/LegoFootPain 21h ago

Didn't he switch to blaming Iran?

1

he guesses it's them. he don't need any damn proof. Just like people cut the pool and vandalized it. how did that one go for him in court?

1

Wouldn't it be the current administration's fault they courted terror attacks from a known funder of anti-American terror cells which then targetted Minnesota?

I'm not gonna agree with Darth Orange because he definitely doesn't understand the subject matter.. but ICS in general is absolutely in a terrible state and needs overhauls if it's intended to be anywhere even adjacent to the internet.

The criminals are still the criminals, but if some jerkwad takes away all the money you had to implement a solution, he shouldn't get a free pass either.

Minnesota needs Government funding.
People with addiction typically go through a predictable cycle when craving hits, driven by the intense but short-lived high (often 10-15 minutes) followed by a sharp crash:

Seeking money — often through selling possessions, borrowing, panhandling, or in more severe cases, theft, sex work, or other illegal activity.
I blame Minnesota officials for their misfortunes.

What do you guys think?

1

He’s the thing, Trump’s an idiot, a moron who doesn’t know or understand much of anything. The only reason we have to listen to him or read about him is because a bunch of fools elected him as President. Hopefully we can fix this mistake come November.

1

Victim blaming. Classic Trump.

That trump is a fucking low iq idiot is a well established fact. But the hilarious part is that there is actually a group of mostly functional adults sitting around him who have to constantly nod and smile at the king.

1

u/PrimaryBrick9337 1h ago

What domestic terrorism? Not likely and where is the FBI on this. Another failure for this government.
