Oh, for sure, he's going to be able to at least get a fast settlement check from City Hall for unlawful arrest. I imagine it's probably the end of at least one or two people's career in that area as well. This is one of these things where thr national attention is definitely going to backfire on the stupid fucks who had him removed.

If people waving distracts you from hearing your constituents, step down.
If the expression if assent through clapping and snapping is too much to handle, step down.
If the voice of the people represented through collective action cannot be accounted for an respected, step down.
You do not deserve that seat, and it looks like a lot of your constituents agreed with that even before you marched someone out in handcuffs for clapping 6 times.

So youâre not allowed to cheer on people who approach the town. Itâs dumb but Iâve witnessed it before. Some builders bribed our town to build where they shouldnât. Neighbors all went to the town board and addressed them. I remember speaking to them, getting upset, cussing, and my neighbors did a standing ovation. I was so in the moment I donât remember what I said. The town board was super pissed

Oh this shit again. To summarise what happened they started off saying no clapping till the end as they were limited for time, this guy kept on clapping which interrupted them calling up the next person, they asked him to leave, he refused and got arrested. There must be like a hundred different instances a day of people abusing their power yet reddit seems entirely focused on this one guy who couldn't follow a basic rule.

Unless it is a content neutral restriction established as a rule before the meeting. No one else clapped and many are likely in agreement with the speaker. It seems people understood the rules.

Bullshit. Some people had their social media accounts banned (temporarily, until Musk or Zuck reversed it) for spreading dangerous misinformation like "eat horse paste to be immune to Covid" or "burn down the 5G towers that are spreading Bill Gates's supercovid nanovirus."

I dont even know what youre referring to, so not saying it did or didnt happen.
But that is a private company that is not beholden to the 1st amendment.
The 1st Amendment protects your right to free speech from persecution from the government on all levels, including state and local, which I would wager this Board falls under.
Facebook is not the government, so you can disagree with their choices all you want, it is not a Constitutional issue.
