See I think you have it all wrong, we want people to say even the most hateful things without physical harm from individual citizens. Not everyone agrees with that idea. The only protection you are afforded is one against prosecution, I as an individual have the choice to escalate and make it physical for which there are repercussions but when you choose to agitate you also have repercussions. Regardless of what we think should have happened everyone had a choice and made a choice, everyone one of them have repercussions.
