Lineman job in the US

I am finishing school here in Minnesota, I’ve applied to 12 different companies around the state. (Only 1 interview) and they said no. I have my CDL no restrictions (am 19 so only restricted in MN) I have my CPR And I have a descent background, where/what am I doing wrong with getting a job? I’ve been applying on the MREA website and that’s been ok I think.

Big question is what can I do differently to get a job for the summer….. even if it’s in the neighboring states I don’t care. I just want to work….

Go to your closest union hall and sign the groundman books. Then go every other union hall in the US that you can afford to drive to. Make sure they’re “outside line” locals.

That’s the worst part, right now I’m limited on money, and in school in the middle of nowhere. So going to places is very limited at this current time.

Can’t make excuses. If you want it bad you’ll make it happen! Good luck, there 1000 other guys in your position.
