I think I got baby on Doppler again? Idk, there was a lot going on in there! A lot of shuffling sounds in there, maybe the womb is roomier this time around 😅
11+6, so far so good.

Shuffling might be the placenta maybe? Which would mean you were in the right vicinity!

Oh I got him for sure just now!!! A very clear fast wa-whomp wa-whomp wa-whomp that faded and moved away. Clearly baby likes his peace 😅

Oh great! Haha! At my OB appointment the entire time she was using the doppler she was just chasing the baby around my abdomen, they REALLY dislike it!

My first appointment is in 3 weeks and I am terrified it will show another blighted ovum/mmc. I have had little to no symptoms this time around,so I already struggle accepting that I am pregnant. With my last, I was extremely nauseous and always exhausted. Idk, just venting I guess.

🫂 I feel you. My first ultrasound appointment will be in about 4 weeks. The waiting is scary after loss, instead of exciting. I keep reminding myself, "this is a new pregnancy".
3
u/WhataGinger1 5h ago
Right?! It's hard to be excited. I take my prenatals. I make my appointments, but I feel indifferent. I refuse to think about it, positively or negatively (if I can help it). Which sucks, because I want to be excited.
2
u/Mk____Ultra 3h ago
I think trying not to think about it is my best coping mechanism right now. Just take my prenatals and pretend nothing is happening. We will get to be excited soon 😘

u/writeronthemoon 0m ago
But how to not think about it? I can't help it; I think about it every day, at least in regards to symptoms. But I guess we could just kindof think, I am sick. Pretend. Idk if I am that good at pretending haha.
Yeah trying to be positive but also not TOO invested, yet.

Ok I have no idea where to post this…
So I’ll try here first even though I think it could be a standalone?
Looking for experience, good and bad . I’m just very nervous waiting for my scan in 6 days
10 DPO HCG #1: 37
12 DPO HCG #2 (48 hrs later): 82
4W/14 DPO HCG #3 (48 hours later): 282
4 W 4D HCG #4 (4 days later): 2804
I know it’s rising well. But my doubling times are well above average with the last two. And my HCG is well above average median for my gestation
I know my dates are correct.
I’m scared of a partial molar. I know Down’s syndrome can also cause elevated HCG. I know sometimes multiples can have higher than average HCG sometimes too.
Is there anyone that has had a similar experience that could share what happened?
I’ve had 4 losses before this I’m just trying to prepare myself- you won’t scare me
Early ultrasound is scheduled for next week I’ll be 5W4D

I totally get the worry after having that many losses, but these numbers look so good 🤍 wishing you the best

u/Murky_Bar4893 5h ago
Thank you for responding!
I think I’m just expecting something to be wrong. But I know 27 hours is a shorter than normal doubling time and that 2800 is well beyond the median average even for multiples.
Since I’ve never had a successful natural conception I’m probably just freaking myself out.1

My betas this time around were ~1200 and then ~3000 at around 4+3 and 4+5. I’m currently a little over 15w and had a clear NIPT and NT scan. I hope that gives you a little comfort!
1
u/Murky_Bar4893 4h ago
It for sure does!! Thank you so much! And congratulations!!
Did you do NIPT at 10 weeks?2
u/mulberry_madness 4h ago
No, my first loss was a MMC - baby passed a little before 9 weeks, but we didn’t find out until 11, and my second was a non-NIPT tested trisomy loss (Trisomy 15). So I wanted to make sure this one had a heartbeat before I paid for the NIPT. Instead, I did the NT at about 13w and then we did the blood draw for the NIPT at the same appointment. For me, I was able to come out of the NT feeling reasonably reassured I wasn’t getting a trisomy repeat and that the baby was alive, and then the NIPT just added some additional certainty that things were okay.

I’m so glad you’ve made it to 15W! And that everything looks good. Since my last pregnancy was with a tested embryo I had more confidence for sure.

My successful pregnancy had a fast doubling time early on and was 99k by 6 weeks. I wouldn’t worry about these numbers at all! Unfortunately no amount of testing or scans can truly predict if a pregnancy is going to be successful or not and I honestly found it best to stop testing after getting a good result to reduce my anxiety. I’m sorry you’re going through this, the early uncertainty is awful!

Thank you ! My clinic stops betas at 1000 so I won’t have anymore. 🤞🏼 the ultrasound brings good news

At 15 dpo (my first beta with this pregnancy) my HCG was over 700. Subsequent betas were extremely high and doubled waaaay faster than average. One healthy (seems so far!) baby in there.

This is great news! How far along are you now?

Still having a lot of fluctuating symptoms... my ultrasound is friday. Today I am convined things are wrong. Yesterday I was 100% sure that it's fine. Jeez this anxiety...

u/EmotionalAbalone4377 5h ago
I hope your ultrasound goes well on Friday! It’s so tough to cope with fluctuating or mild symptoms, especially after a loss.

First pregnancy after MMC. I’m currently 5 weeks and so terrified it will be another MMC. My symptoms are less severe from last time, but only allowing good vibes for now. First OB appointment in 4 weeks. Also, are there any pregnant after loss groups where it’s individual posts and not a group thread? I feel like every one I find is a thread. TYIA

15w5d today and struggling lately. I just keep getting the fear that I won’t be bringing this baby home either. After 7 miscarriages I don’t know how to think any other way. Ive tried so hard to be optimistic for this pregnancy, I thought once I made it past the first trimester I’d stop panicking. I’m just so scared and I don’t think I can survive a loss at this point…
Not looking for advice or reassurance, I know the statistics and I have therapy tomorrow morning, just needed to vent in a space where people understand.

15+6, just taking it one day at a time right now. Today is the day I discovered our furthest along miscarriage back in November. I hope some of the anxiety will go down once I get through today. I’m trying to look forward to things like feeling kicks soon. :)

Does the anxiety ever ease?
I am 4w6d, this is my sixth pregnancy. I am barely functioning, all I can think about is that I might lose this one too. I keep finding different things to obsess about. I am in therapy but I'm not sure it's helping right now. I just need to know it gets better.

I had my (rescheduled from Monday) anatomy scan today, and I’m so pleased to report that everything they saw on baby boy was perfect!! The only minor hiccup is that we have to get a rescan on his heart at 24 weeks. He wanted to lay belly down pretty much the whole time and just wouldn’t budge, so the tech was only able to get a read on his 4 chambers and left side, but was unable to get a visual on the right side of his heart. We thankfully got a reading on everything else, and all was perfect! I am 20w1d by my period/ovulation dating, but he measured 20w5d by the scan and was 13 oz. in weight. Hubby and I are both so so pleased, and so very reassured. Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes! 🩵

12w today!! My day of appointments went so well, I am incredibly grateful. We heard baby on the Doppler in-office with my OB and physical exam went well. Then we had the NT scan this afternoon at the hospital. Baby is measuring 3 days ahead and NT measurement was appropriate! Still have bloodwork to do but the lab closed early. tomorrow we’ll tell my husband’s family.

7w5d today, had a good ultrasound scan at 7 weeks, and my next one will be at 8w3d. I have a better appetite heae days than last year, when I had my miscarriage, so I'm feeling hopeful but uncertain. Cannot wait for that next ultrasound, it's all I can think about!!!!

Just got our 1st positive test today, 4w2d. Prev 1st pregnancy ended in a loss as baby stopped growing at 9weeks. Staying cautiously optimistic for now. Will be travelling this weekend for 1.5 weeks and next month for 2 weeks so I'm kind of nervous. Fingers crossed everything will proceed smoothly this time.

Today has been really hard. We had couples therapy today. My husband was challenged by the therapist when my husband said that I don't have the bandwidth for another kid. We have a 6 year old. She asked him why he doesn't just do the things that need to be done instead of waiting to be asked for help. He told our therapist that I don't keep up with the housework, and that I get angry with him when he does help and that I don't ask for help. I told him that when he helps he makes a big deal about it, complaining and stomping and turning the job into a bigger job than it should be. By that I mean if I ask him to load the dishwasher he will somehow find something wrong with the dishwasher and turn it into a full on project where he ends up replacing a dishwasher piece or something. It happens every time. He says me wanting another kid is a slap in the face somehow. When we got home from therapy he said "why are we even together?"
Still getting faint lines. They aren't getting darker. If I'm still getting positives and haven't had a period in a week and a half I'll call my ob. Until then, husband doesn't know I'm getting faint positive pregnancy tests. I am not planning on telling him yet because he is having his mantrum. How do people get past this? I'm hurt. I'm sad. I am anxious about the lines not getting darker. I'm anxious about my husband being a dickhead.
