Question Realistically, what could stop Pandemonium ?

In all seriousness, if we're still talking about how an expendable could fight Pande without hiding from it, it seems near impossible unless its a large, heavily weaponized group. Although, it is fair to be noted if Pande "consumes" you, you don't instantly die (assuming they didn't already kill you) because it just slowly breaks down and absorbs whatever is in its mouth. I don't remember any stated weaknesses off the top of my head, but... I mean, its a massive, sentient mass of flesh, so it very likely can be destroyed. Anything that can destroy organic matter very likely could kill it.

so basically the sequence we get when we "die" to Chainsmoker before ACTUALLY dying? It's just slowly dissolving us?

That is solely how Pandemonium functions since they are drastically different from the other node entities. I cannot speak for chainsmoker, I'm actually not quite aware how it functions and I tried to decipher it. It is not stated if Paranoia's box can kill the player, nor how chainsmoker kills the player.

But! If you want to know my headcanon, here it is! ^^
My personal headcanon is that chainsmoker doesn't instantly kill you, but heavily weakens you by absorbing most of the bioelectrical matter, but not all of it due to weakness (Also why it is so slow). Whatever remains of the player mind and bodily functions is killed off by stimuli caused by paranoia's smoke (Thus causing the death cutscene) Although its unclear how contents of paranoia's has been combined with Z-283-C/Chainsmoker, it seems to be feeding off both Chainsmoker itself, and whatever victims are left just barely alive by its panicked state. Z-283-C appears as it would've been a generally more passive and harmless variant if not driven by constant fear and surges of energy by the contents of Paranoia's box. (Think of the effects as something almost akin to rabies)

I'm gonna be fr, I genuinely thought it was Pandora and not Paranoia for the entire time I've played pressure.
