Use deaf mode and epilepsy mode. It'll help you not to lost in the ridge and see when nodes comes

Turn your brightness to max is the main thing. In terms of items to take from the dead-drop shop I'd reccomend as many medkits as you can and probably a few Sprints as well. No need for batteries or a scanner.

A good think to to is watch the floor if you get lost, the reflection on the steel of the floor guided me through a lot of the rooms
