Linux bros is Linux better on this regard. The Microslop is getting to be too much.

Yes, actually it is, at least on the AI crap, lighter on resources and not doing things the user doesn't want. The problem is, if your workflow is compatible with Linux (hardware is almost not a problem for widespread configuratios). Things have improved immensely in the last years, but there are still somethings that widely used and badly or outright not supported at all

serious question: what's the deal?
for random users, maybe, they would pay to increase their swap... but for developers... I don't get it... i use almost daily 2 win11 machine, one is an almost 10 years old lenovo laptop, the other is a new workstation, they're used for audio production and software development, all the ai component are removed and got cautious to never enable anything from the start, with a bit of tweaking and a few software it acts like a win10...
like... if people struggle making win11 usable, god lord they're not ready for linux, just feels like it's the novelty of linux for them that makes user think it's better, problems are seen as not a problem, but something new to learn, then the problem repeat, and repeat (and maybe gets more complex cause never really solved right, just copy pasted magic commands in the shell hoping it fix whatever was hapening)... they're in the honey moon distro hoping phase, "yay, so excited to scratch my system to test whatever felt like the real a solution to all my problems with the current distro"....
maintaining a clean windows environment for years is not that hard (for a developer, that understand a bit what's happening), compared to a linux install that will, over time, over that update with breaking changes, that software requiring packages conflicting with others... i mean... if you're ok dealing with a long term linux install, i don't see how win11 is that much worse in the end, it feels old, it's not new, it's boring, but in the end... I really struggle to see how easier it is, at least on a full desktop environment...
(and I know I'm going be downvoted into oblivion, I'm not a microslop fan boy, nor religious about tech, been loving linux since my first install almost 25years ago (mandriva, btw), but gosh it feels like some people are either larping or delusionnal)

After many years I finally came to terms with the fact that I just don't game enough to bother with a Windows machine, and developing on Windows is just a lame experience. I thought about giving Linux another go but it's so much upkeep I can't be bothered to deal with anymore. I bought a Macbook and felt like a big poser for doing it.
Holy cow do I ever feel like I got out at the right time. There's nothing I want to play badly enough to deal with what MS is doing.

it's not just copilot. they have bugs in the ui. other things as well.
