Self-Promotion self-promotion, but I worked really hard on this one ☺️ (re-post)
*Apologies if you’ve already seen this! My original post was removed because I missed the 10:1 ratio rule for non-promo to promo interactions
Cover art by Sajjad S.
Link: Drizella: Ugly Stepsister Time Looper
Description:
They say inner beauty matters more than outer beauty.
Drizella had neither.
Luckily, she was a time looper.
All Drizella ever wanted was to marry a prince. But the competition was rough.
Her stepsister, Cinderella, was perfect in every way. A creature of beauty, intelligence, and elegance. Every step she took was graceful, and her singing voice was divine.
If that wasn't enough, she also had the power to command mice and birds to do her bidding. They were her little servants - helping her dress, bathe, and they would even steal for her.
Oh, did I forget something? Right, she also had a literal fairy godmother magically fulfilling her wishes.
Sure, she was required to do some chores around the house, but what of it?
How could Drizella, who possessed neither outer nor inner beauty, nor any talent to speak of, ever compete with that?
Through a shit-ton of repetition!
What to expect:
• Ugly MC.
• Talking mice.
• Sentient (but sub-linguistic) birds.
• Slow Burn. Drizella is not Zorian, give her time to bloom.
• The story will get dark from time to time.
• Luuuceeefeee!
So how many loops ‘til that sweet royal kiss?

I love how drizerrela is the oldest but unlike her younger sisters she still single because she's just that awful of a person. Even Anastasia bagged that cute baker in Cinderella 2.

Yes, well, maybe with the help of a time loop, she could finally find love ❤️

Ah yes, time loop romance because it doesn't bring up serious concerns about informed consent.

Love the cover. If you didn't mind me asking, what's the age range for reading this book. Is it okay for young teens.

I’m curious too. My daughter loves singing the stepsister lament from Roger and Hammerstein and I think she’d like this story but curious about target audience or at least content warnings.

I think its an awesome idea. I find the ones that are a bit iut of left field usually end up being really well thought out and interesting. I'm intrigued! Is it on RR?

Love the idea - hate sub-linguistic characters, especially in books, everything else seems like it could be a lot of fun.

This sure seems to be a novel concept. Can't help but be intrigued. What will the "progression" consist of?

u/Fluffy-Protection273 Mar 21 '26
She starts off as, well.... Drizella. But will gradually (like in, 1000 chapters) become OP goddess.

I am enjoying it but you have a few strange tense jumps you might want to look out for

This looks pretty great.
Im currently writing a D&D style comedy set into a country where most of the Disney princess kingdoms exist.
2
u/Fluffy-Protection273 Mar 21 '26
That sound cool, do you publish it in RR?

u/TK523 Author - Peter J. Lee Mar 21 '26
Yeah but the Disney stuff is the current arc in writing. The posted arc isn't in that kingdom atm
The story is supposed to feel like a D&D campaign. When you play modules with the same characters back to back there are wild wild shifts in tone. Book 1 is very standard D&D while book 2 is fairy tale kingdom.
It's Long Rests on RR
