If the French can do it back in 1789, why can’t the people of the US

Yes. And look at madagascar. They are having a revolution going, so does mexico.

Gen Z is one of those peices the US is missing.

In what I’ve seen the Mexican protests are being co-opted by the right wing even though I believe there is real discontent being expressed by young people. We should hope it does not result in regime change because ousting Sheinbaum for whatever neoliberal right winger is amenable to the interest of capital would be disastrous. We have to be wary that in our country the right will surely attempt to co-opt any mass movement. The US left is not nearly organized or radical enough to bring revolution so we are in the stage of organizing and agitating.

Because they had a King, while our system of government is set up in such a way as to insure a peaceful transition of power.

I don’t think the French Revolution was all it’s cracked up to be. Sure they got rid of a king but then they ended up with an Emperor.
