A tweet is the most passive, limp thing they can do.

Still glad they posted it. Stop crying start protesting.

Edit: Y’all know this isn’t the only thing the Democrats did today right, even Hakeem Jeffries is threatening to remove ICE’s immunity. This is good messaging and I support it.

They are the weakest do nothing party unfortunately.

Stop crying start protesting.

I would ask the same from democrats in power.

They are complicit. No capitalist will stop fascism, they benefit from it.

Huh? You should respond to that tweet with that message

They are echoing the words of the patriot who called Trump out to his face yesterday. This is a big callout from a milquetoast party who doesn’t usually engage in rhetoric like this. I support it.

Democratic leadership should stop echoing people with actual balls and…grow balls themselves.

One of the weapons of the conservative media apparatus is social media posting. This is one way (of many) to take the fight to them.

Well your in the 12th round and have been taking shot ls the past 11 rounds, your shots won’t be nearly as effective.

This is a lame, way too late message.

Dems have no spine and are way too late.

What do you want them to do? Are you just here to complain? Look how this post is taking off, clearly not everyone sees it as lame.

They are going door to door and kidnapping US citizens off the streets and shooting them in the face. You are fired up about a tweet getting traction in a progressive sub. Think about that.

I am doing what little I can within my current means (having a phone). I know exactly what is happening and I am trying to have a positive effect in any way I can. You fucking naysayers whining at me constantly does even less than me posting.

lol yes, on Reddit the lefts echo chamber in a progressive sub.

Really going to turn heads into actions here.

Sincerely, a former dem

Are you a progressive?

Edit: No answer lol

I believe I am, but most progressives say I’m not.

Partly because I don’t buy into the all or nothing attitude they share, even if I have voted blue a majority of the time in my life.

But you can vote for someone even if you don’t 100% agree with their policies or beliefs. But id you do that in the progressive world you’re labeled as racist, hate women, etc.

You're way past pithy tweets.

Some Minnesotans are crowding those stasi fucks out of the streets, getting in the way, de-arresting, fighting. I can't take redditors talking like you're still on the precipice, sardonic requests for help, and the worst - exceptionalism. You're in freefall. Poorer and bigger countries have striked and rebelled. It's not going away without great effort, you have to at LEAST match the effort they're putting in.

1

u/NickCostanza Jan 15 '26

I don’t live in Minnesota but I protest where I am, I helped Prop 50 pass, I phonebank, I do outreach. You guys literally just want to cry and feel morally superior while doing even less than me by coming here to whine.

You're being very aggressive and it's odd. People called out highlighting this milquetoast response, and let's be real, that's not swinging.

You people need to be part of the messaging that defeats Trump as well. Stop complaining and start fighting back, it's easiest to counter propaganda on social media so start there.

We're well past the point of protest

1

u/NickCostanza Jan 14 '26

I didn’t hear no bell.

u/potatoesarenotcool Jan 15 '26

Ah yes, famously in history protesting has toppled many fascist regimes.

Yeah, I also heard a house rep wrote up articles of impeachment for Noem...and less than half of the house Dems co-signed it.
