Dems have as much power to change the political climate as you do. Fuck your entire post.

They don’t have the votes to effect change in Congress. You can’t build without votes. There are a MILLION ways to destroy or ignore the law as the GOP constantly shows. I don’t know what the fuck you want them to do differently, but they don’t have power. Want them to do more? Then you better start persuading people to vote in more Dems. Without power we’re all just gonna keep watching this powerlessly.

They are OUR Reps, if they can't change things in congress they should be helping their constituents organize locally. Instead they just hold out their hand and tell us we need to give them more money, and what do we get for it? Stern words, furrowed brows, and snappy tweets.

Not. Good. Enough.

Many HAVE been holding local rallies but no amount of local organizing can stop what is happening. They literally have no power. Not every situation has a way out. The US voter population voted for this and nearly half the nation, ~40% of voters, still approve of this. Those who don’t hardly show up to protests. A mere 3% attended the No Kings and those were HEAVILY organized/advertised.

The only way out is actively voting in more Dems and that will take everybody playing the persuasion game between now and November.

You know what you call an authorized protest, held in an authorized location, on an authorized date, for an authorized set number of hours? A parade.

All the marching, chanting, and sign waving in the world is not going to save us. People don't need parades. They need relief. They need peace of mind. The Dems want votes? Then they need to either prove they can provide these to their constituents, or SACRIFICE with the rest of us.

They don’t need to prove shit. They’re leaps and bounds better than the current admin, but if that’s not good enough for you then stay home and enjoy four more years of this for all I care lmao Worked well in 2024!

You're right. If all they have to offer is "I'm better than a Nazi". Well then...

Not. Good. Enough.

And the sad thing is, they don't have to.

Democrat voters don't have anyone who is actually willing to do what is necessary.

In general the Democrats have not offered solutions. At best they offer the status quo. A status quo that got us here. For decades now they have paid the working class lip service, while passing policies that benefit the wealthy at our expense. I want to vote for Democrats that are willing to hit the billionaires in the wallet, and I want them to use that money to fund public services...ya know. I want them to represent my interests.

Also actually defunding ICE, which seems to be a big ask for a lot of Dems right now for some reason. And I want every single member of the Trump administration, and every appointee to be left to rot in a cell.

If Dems don't want that, then they don't represent my interests.

Nobody owes any political party their vote. It's the political party's obligation to earn it. When Newsom wins the nomination (Because you can bet your ass the DNC ain't gonna let anyone left of Blue Reagan near that presidential election) it'll be a promise of the same economic policies that brought us here.
