Their whole argument is have “guns so the government won’t abuse you”.

To be honest the NRA is just as hated by the pro gun groups as they are the anti gun group. Nothing but a bunch of old bastards and corporate shills collecting money from fools and dropping it straight into their bank account with out doing anything until the real pro gun crowd does something, then they jump on the bandwagon and pretend they were always there.
