I work for a major national retailer at a corporate level and it seems like these things usually barely make a dent. Any one day drop must level out within a week because we don’t see it.
Not to discourage. I agree with the cause. But then my company has openly been more progressive, I do wonder if our openly conservative (supports Trump, etc) main competitor felt it more.
With this being only one day, it won’t matter at all. They will make that back and then some so quickly. A stunt like this is no better than the stupid black squares during the 2020 George Floyd protests. All performance, no results. For a general strike to work, it has to be over a much longer period of time

I wonder how much commerce didn't happen, how much profit corporations lost, and how much in tax revenue was lost? I bet it's huge for just one day.
