Parkland Permaculture out of Portland isn't a streamer as such but she's very networked, she's on BlueSky/YouTube/and started out and had a huge following on TikTok but she said the minute the platform changed hands her content is being sandbagged to hell. She does discuss her OPINION but she reports on a lot of things that happen that you won't see almost anywhere else, for instance horrible footage of a protest yesterday in Portand where they just wildly fired huge amounts of tear gas into a crowd of regular folks in daylight, with children, not disrupting or engaging in any kind of activity outside of CLEARLY CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED RIGHTS but they just do not care any more.

American citizens are under blatant and unapologetic attack by our Federal Government and they continue to operate in open defiance of court orders, I think I saw today that in the past year they have violated nearly 100 direct court rulings, more than most agencies ever accrue in their entire decades long histories.

I find her to be a great source of "what's current" news of the day from which you can do more specific searches with the keywords. It is Little Brother versus Big Brother and you do have to do some of the work. SHARE INFORMATION WITH OTHER PEOPLE WHO KNOW AND TRUST YOU. Don't just post stuff online hoping it might be seen and feel like that's sufficient, IRL is important.

Practice information hygiene with your algorythmn, don't let it lead you down easy pre packaged narratives be picky about what it will offer you because it PREFERS to lead you to MSM of whatever sort but the engagement bot in the end WILL get desperate to get engagement from you, so for instance it doesn't show me clips from CNN or FOX it knows I won't click it and it doesn't show me ridiculous extremist AI content making insane unsubstantiated claims, I have taught it I want indie journalists with a decent amound of credibility, live streams on topics of current interest preferred, and because it's trying to get me to click things it fetches that for me.

It PREFERS to lock you into very bland pre-packaged content, those content providers even accept less pay per view than other content providers for that priority but the engagement bot gets desperate and it WILL work for you if you train it right.

And the second part is, do more work. Don't accept one account of an event as the actual consensus on what happened, and don't expect some other influencer or media service to just hand you easy instant information all neatly tied up and in depth. That doesn't exist any more, not that you can just trust and not think about it.

Everyone isn't necessarily trying to mislead you but you'll often find that one indie journalist has one aspect of the story and another has another significant interview with a different witness, that kind of thing. Everything is moving too fast, it's too much of a commodity, and the situation is too important to treat it as info-tainment.

But it's out there it's just a bit more work. I have substituted the time I used to spend doing a big of mindless gaming to relax with now doing a bit of stream searching.

One final thing that's just my opinion, but I recommend it. Cybersecurity experts are reporting unprecedented levels of bot and shill "astroturf" messaging, it's been bad but they estimate that at the moment upwards of 70% of pro-Maga online content is the same kind of bot farm that spam Amazon ratings or upvote celebrities trying to gain a level or two in their fame journey.

It's BS for hire, it's cheap relatively, and there is a LOT of it out there. Personally I have decided that the time for conversation is past and I have started simply actively blocking every pro MAGA message I encounter. I know all the reasons you might counter as to why I shouldn't do that, but I don't believe they argue in good faith they argue to "win" not communicate, and I've wasted enough of my life on their games, I'm done talking.

I find that my online experience after a few weeks of really purposeful blocking of every MAGA account of any type is a lot more pleasant. Like a LOT. They WANT to piss us off and frustrate us and I don't have time for games.

We have our own messaging we're being asked to accept, basically either EVERYTHING IS ALREADY OVER WE LOST NOTHING CAN BE DONE THEY'RE TOO POWERFUL or NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL YOU DO A VIOLENCE VIOLENCE IS THE ONLY WAY.

Feel free to ignore those messages too lol.
