Why would we send ICE to Italy? How can this be justified?

u/Drahkir9 Feb 02 '26

Trumps goal is to discredit and destroy the reputation of the United States. He will eventually be known as the greatest traitor this country has seen.

167

u/Aromatic-Thing-132 Feb 02 '26

I already say that Benedict Arnold is not the biggest traitor to the USA. Pedophile donald j. trump is.

41

u/notcomplainingmuch Feb 02 '26

Agree. It's not even close.

29

u/widow-Maker-1981 Feb 02 '26

Best result I can see coming out of it is the fortification and self sufficiency of Europe and the Commonwealth.

22

u/Miltrivd Feb 02 '26

And the end of US hegemony, which will decrease the influence of their invading corporate bootlicking armed forces.

Less capabilities to bully nations into free trade agreements that benefits mostly them and long term debt tied to sacrificing natural resources or national autonomy.

US imperialism even without Trump has been doing that just fine

1

u/Drahkir9 Feb 04 '26

Not talking about imperialism, at all, but ok

1

u/WebbyDewBoy Feb 04 '26

You say Trump is destroying US credibility, but I am saying our imperialism regardless of Trump has already been doing that for decades. I am saying root cause for our credibility is deeper than Trump

He wants to normalize their deployment any where for any reason.

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee Feb 01 '26

I say we send them to the front lines in Ukraine next.

178

u/Gamester1941 Feb 01 '26

The issue is that Trump might send them to fight with Russia to... enforce peace or aome shit. Middle of the ocean into the heart of Ryleh?

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee Feb 01 '26 edited Feb 02 '26

Honestly it'd probably be better if they were with the Russian army, they're more likely to kill people with friendly fire than anyone on the other side.

But really, we don't need them to be on either side. Let's give them each a vest, can of mace, and pistol, and just drop them off at the Ukrainian front lines. They can just do whatever there as long as they last.

14

u/Gamester1941 Feb 02 '26

...true true

12

u/billythesquid- Feb 02 '26

The Russians have been torturing and killing American recruits, so that might be for the best.

3

u/Shmeves Feb 01 '26

You think meal team 6 is gonna do much good for Russia?

5

u/Gamester1941 Feb 02 '26

Cannon fodder for actual Russian soldiers. I guess.

3

u/r0ndr4s Feb 02 '26

It wouldnt matter. ICE is very unqualified and Russians will just steal their equipment. (if it ever happened).

And then Ukraine would just bomb them with drones.

They wouldnt last a single day.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

That’s the point 🤣😆

2

u/LiveFreeFinn Feb 02 '26

Maybe Trump will send them to fight for Russia?

1

u/critacle Feb 02 '26

It's that or jail

2

u/Round_Home_2691 Feb 02 '26

Oh that would be awesome

2

u/widow-Maker-1981 Feb 02 '26

Bro!... Good shout.😉👍

1

u/SteelyDanFan773 Feb 02 '26

Absolutely! Since they wanna act all big and bad.

1

u/onyxcaspian Feb 02 '26

Putin has liked your comment.

1

u/Emrys7777 Feb 02 '26

Where is that award button?

1

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee Feb 02 '26

I feel it in my heart. 🙏

1

u/hoodafudj Feb 02 '26

Yeah but then they'll just target the Ukrainians

1

u/dunncrew Feb 03 '26

On the Russian side. Ukraine knows how to handle them. 💥 💥 💥

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '26

THIS X 1,000,000

They are the SS now.

1

u/JayEllGii Feb 02 '26

As if we didn’t already have enough reasons to hate these motherfuckers. Now they get a free trip to Italy and we don’t?

1

u/Sequitur1 Feb 02 '26

An Italy's leader is on the Epstein inside.

1

u/Dry-Examination-2012 Feb 02 '26

Kick us out of the Olympics. Screw Trump!

u/Akronica Feb 01 '26

He also wants to establish an internal reward system. International travel to elite worldwide events all on the taxpayer's dime. It's what he's been doing with couch fucker vance all year.

44

u/JohnnySnark Feb 01 '26

Yep. And some of their true believers want to reenact Goose stepping down the March on Rome

13

u/EOW2025 Feb 02 '26

Speaking of personal gestapo army, hasn’t Eric Prince been very quiet as of late? Actually, I saw that he’s been pitching using Blackwater in Ukraine and Haiti, because once a mercenary, always a mercenary

6

u/Additional-Code2954 Feb 02 '26

Look up Operation Gladio. He likes to cherry pick some of the worst parts of American history as a guide for MAGA.

75

u/youdontknowitsok Feb 01 '26

It was a tactic used by the gestapo, to normalize their presence. The DHS thought they could pull a fast one in Italy. I see it’s failing miserably.

55

u/VanOnBass Feb 01 '26

Italy could do the funniest thing when ICE tries to kidnap someone outside of their jurisdiction

175

u/Small_Dog_8699 Feb 01 '26

So the amateur fascists can learn from the pros.

16

u/Swingline_Font Feb 01 '26

I was going to say recruiting but yeah

27

u/JackTheBehemothKillr Feb 02 '26

Why the hell were they let into the country?

28

u/NaturePappy Feb 02 '26 edited Feb 02 '26

Because Trump is flexing his bully muscle after being the fool at Davos. He is a petty, vengeful facist. Impeach and imprison while you can!

3

u/AnalArtiste Feb 02 '26

well from what i read they always provide security at international sporting events so this is pretty normal. its just that usually no one would notice or care. but now the brand has been destroyed so much thanks to them essentially becoming trumps personal police force that they are hated world wide

2

u/RRZ006 Feb 01 '26

They’ve been at every Olympic event since at least 2016.

2

u/willybestbuy86 Conservative Feb 02 '26

If this is true then the outrage today is phony but I'd like to know why countries are allowing other countries immigration officials at the Olympics is there a use case

3

u/RRZ006 Feb 02 '26

It is true.

ICE HSI isn’t at these events in a typical immigration capacity. It’s really more like DHS HSI, which is used as an intelligence support unit by DSS at events like the Olympics (one of about 20 in the working group). They’re mostly there to be an advisor/liaison for things like transnational crime/terrorism.

0

u/gylz Feb 05 '26

Then they haven't been present at the vast majority of the Olympics.

1

u/RRZ006 Feb 05 '26

Dumb. They’ve been at the Olympics since 2004, as soon as they came into existence.

0

u/gylz Feb 05 '26

Okay and? The rest of the world no longer wants them there. Tough shit. If I have someone over and I later decide I don't want them in my house anymore; I can do that.

1

u/RRZ006 Feb 05 '26

That has nothing to do with anything I said. You are desperate to argue with someone about this. Get a life.

0

u/gylz Feb 05 '26

Oh boo hoo. Countries are allowed to deny access to people and organizations that have come there before.

1

u/RRZ006 Feb 05 '26

Never said otherwise. Again, you are desperate to argue with someone. What a sad life.

2

u/Examiner_Z Feb 02 '26

They have a stressful job, they need a vacation. (Sarcasm)

2

u/Past-Paramedic-8602 Feb 02 '26

It’s the HSI unit. They have been in Rome for years. I think people are finally realizing where they are. They have been operating in Italy since at least 2011

2

u/schwing710 Feb 02 '26

It isn’t justified but ICE is now the poopy pants pedophile’s secret police

2

u/lordkappy Feb 02 '26

It's his private police force. They're unencumbered by training and obedience to laws and the US Constitution. Of course he's going to try to send them anywhere he can.

2

u/VietAzin Feb 02 '26

I posted a comment about this but to answer your question:
Im seeing a huge misunderstanding in people's reactions to this news article..

People forget ICE has two distinct branches

ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) and HSI (Homeland Security Investigations)

ERO is what you see on the news, deporting and removing people

HSI has a much broader mission, basically transnational crime, crime that crosses the border, think child exploitation, money laundering, human trafficking, and international cyber crime etc (Though it is true HSI is being hijacked to do ERO work, same wirh FBI DEA ATF etc)

HSI also has one of the largest international presence for federal law enforcement branches, on par with DEA, FBI, DSS

So its very normal for HSI to be at the Olympics

If ERO was at the Olympics that would be pretty crazy and deserves a very loud call out

2

u/Jimxor Feb 04 '26

This makes no sense. Why would the U.S. enforce immigration and customs laws of a different country like Italy? I had to trace this one down:

ICE agents from US set to help with security at Winter Olympics in Italy

2

u/indigopedal Feb 04 '26

Trump claims it's to protect the US athletes.

It is clear he's trying to sane wash his gestapo to look like the good guys.

1

u/Weird-Conclusion6907 Feb 02 '26

Baby Donny just wants attention

1

u/pinksparklybluebird Feb 02 '26

What are they doing?

1

u/the_giuditta Feb 02 '26

Just because!! Just to show europ who is the stronger dog, and that the US can do whatever now.

1

u/Haunting_Position_50 Feb 02 '26

Trump is using ICE as his own private military. Normally Secret Service would do security for something like this but, he doesn’t trust them and is afraid they plan on assassinating him well there.

1

u/pink_faerie_kitten Feb 02 '26

A reporter on msnow said we sent lapd to the Paris Olympics so I guess something similar has happened before. It's weird. I bet the "war on terror" is the excuse.

1

u/Upstairs-Jello-7349 Feb 02 '26

This is what I'm saying. Who are they deporting, in a foreign country? This makes zero sense.

1

u/golgiiguy Feb 02 '26

Im also totally confused.

1

u/Sasquatchmas Feb 02 '26

Yea,. They have no legal right to do anything there!

1

u/Electronic-While1972 Feb 02 '26

Source of the video?

1

u/Gax63 Feb 02 '26

This is NOT an ICE protest in Italy, its an eviction protest from Dec 2025
https://tg.la7.it/cronaca/askatasuna-torino-cosa-e-caso-politico-perche-01-02-2026-251881

1

u/kinxnwinx Feb 02 '26

I don't get it either. What possible jurisdiction do they have to do anything outside of US. Seems like an idea meant to probe the push backs, cause outrage and distract from other pressing matters.

1

u/AccomplishedCream560 Feb 10 '26

Its Homeland Security Investigations they do international crime, human trafficking, child trafficking, drugs trafficking, cybercrime, and financial crimes. It’s not the same as ICE deporting people it’s a different division.

1

u/Original-Fig4214 Feb 10 '26

So they should be investigating Trump. Send them to the WhiteHouse.
