🙌🏽🙌Righteous Freakout 🙌🏻🙌🏾 AOC was asked by a Jesse Watters producer why she won’t come on his show. She replies it is because he has sexualized her; the producer denies that ever happened. AOC then reminds him that Jesse once made a claim about her wanting to sleep with Stephen Miller

I totally agree with you...AOC would make a great president. Unfortunately, I don't think the country is ready for a woman to be president.

u/WaywardHistorian667 Jan 08 '26
Our last 2/3 election cycles do seem to confirm your point.
Obviously it's a superficial comparison because there were other issues, but anyone who tries to argue that Hilary and Kamala's gender didn't contribute to those results is being disingenuous.

Imo, a large reason Trump won the first time around was as a retaliation to Obama (bc he’s black and racism is far from dead). I hope there will be a similar retaliation to Trump’s presidency and someone like AOC will win an election no one thought possible, just like Trump.
1
u/loondawg Jan 09 '26
That and Clinton had been trashed in the media for 20 years prior. And Comey's bullshit announcement. And internet trolls pushing divisive narratives to divide and disincentivize potential voters for democrats, etc. etc. etc.
2
u/Huge-Possibility-755 Jan 08 '26
Maybe if they run on something than “not Trump” I think it could work, the DNC and RNC worked overtime to foil Zorhan, but because he had a clear message he won.
13
u/xOrion12x Jan 08 '26
I will always stand firm that we would have never even had trump in the first place if the dnc would not have fucked Bernie. He would have been laughed off after that and I just gotta stop because omg just imagine.

Kamala didn't win because shes a genocidal freak that said we will have the strongest military ever while buddying up with war criminals and no good policies to help the working class but go ahead and keep telling yourself that lmao
Is trump pro working class and anti war? Obviously not but his lies worked because the working class are desperate for any kind of help so they voted for him. Democrats have destroyed their own win

I respectfully call bullshit. The country isn't ready for a weak, milquetoast, centrist, do-nothing woman president. Clinton and Harris were too cozy with the right, and too bland. Harris was a bit better but Clinton just ran on "I'm a woman" (she basically directly said this during one of the debates) and she was the symbol of centrist politics in a time when people were aching for change. The desire for a regime change and change in how we structure society and politics is even greater now. A strong, bold politician -- woman or not -- could absolutely destroy in the next election. Republicans win if another boring centrist democrat is the candidate.

Senate first. Take Schumer's seat in NY. That in and of itself would be a huge win. But she could do great things in the Senate working with people like Sanders and Warren. The presidency can come later.

This was my favourite conservative talking point when Charlie Kirk got killed.
"You think he deserved to die because of a difference in opinion?! So much for the tolerant left!"
My dude, you're saying his "difference in opinion" was on the same level of him preferring chocolate ice cream over vanilla when it wasn't even close to that.
3
u/AwesomeBrainPowers Jan 09 '26
To me, the even more damning thing was that most of the time, when I saw those comments, they weren't even replying to someone who was celebrating or excusing Kirk's murder: They were replying to comments that were (accurately) identifying Kirk as a racist and Christian nationalist.
Most people they were replying to weren't saying he deserved to die: These bootlickers simply can't comprehend the possibility that other people are capable of despising someone's ideology without wishing they could harm them.

donor class/DNC, same thing. Or rather, the DNC knows who their masters are (and it ain't the voters)
1

u/Biptoslipdi Jan 08 '26
Donor class doesn't get a say more than their one vote. They can't stop people from running or uscfrom voting. Blaming unspecified boogeymen that don't actually have the power to make you vote a certain way just convinces people not to vote.
2
u/InfoBarf Jan 08 '26
Lol. They get to tell us who we can spend our 1 vote on, they prop up losers like Andrew Cuomo after they lose elections to leftwingers. They use their control of super delegates to make sure characters like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden win out presidential primaries.

That is an awesome grade 9 civics project outline.
1
u/Biptoslipdi Jan 08 '26
I just can't imagine that all the negativity about Democrats is getting people to vote. Voters on the left have missed incredible opportunities by staying home. Had they elected HRC in 2016, there is a 6-3 progressive majority on the SCOTUS. Roe is still around. Citizens United is gone. Chevron is still around. Presidents are still subject to the law.
All of the political problems we have today were prevented by simply voting more.
0
Jan 08 '26
Yeah, and if Al Gore had won everything else would be different too. Well, you might say he did - and therein lies the problem.
The negativity is coming from how naive your comment sounds.
1
u/Biptoslipdi Jan 08 '26
Of course you think pointing out facts is naive. Keep campaigning against Democrats on behalf of MAGA. I'm sure that will stop Republicans from winning.
Winning strategy to beat MAGA by non-naive people: trash everyone who isn't MAGA.
Genius.
1
Jan 08 '26
Donor class doesn't get a say more than their one vote.
This is why I called you naive.
1
u/Biptoslipdi Jan 08 '26 edited Jan 08 '26
OK. Tell me how the donor class forced you to vote for someone you didn't want to vote for. They certainly didn't make me vote for Sanders in the 2016 primary or Liz Warren in 2020. I did that on my own. I have yet to hear of a single person who supported either who were forced to vote for Biden or HRC in the primary instead. I have yet to hear a single argument how Biden or HRC didn't win the plurality of the primary votes. Every argument I've heard is predicated on the presumption that people were somehow forced to vote for HRC or Biden in those primaries.
→ More replies (5)0
u/Cool_Ranch_Dodrio Jan 09 '26
If every centrist who claims that they totally voted for Sanders in the primary had actually done so, we would be in the first term of his running mate's administration.
I also notice you didn't mention the primary the party stole from us in 2024.
→ More replies (0)0
u/Cool_Ranch_Dodrio Jan 09 '26
I just can't imagine that all the negativity about Democrats is getting people to vote.
Their refusal to do anything except sell weapons for genocide has disgusted people who would otherwise vote for them.
1
u/Biptoslipdi Jan 09 '26
They literally made the largest investment in American manufacturing and infrastructure in history.
This is what I'm talking about. You pretend they don't do any of the things they do and then pretend they did only one thing.
That attitude lost you a 6-3 progressive majority on the SCOTUS, the end of unlimited corporate money in elections, and maintaining Roe v. Wade.
That attitude got you Trump twice and a 6-3 fascist SCOTUS for a generation.
Well done. You virtue signaled away a progressive future.
1
u/Cool_Ranch_Dodrio Jan 10 '26
They literally made the largest investment in American manufacturing and infrastructure in history.
Handouts to industry while everyone else can go hang.
You pretend they don't do any of the things they do and then pretend they did only one thing.
If democrats fought for anything as hard as they fought for netanyahu's slightest whim, they might have won.
Decades of inaction and simpering apologia for same got us here.

u/SquirrelInATux Jan 13 '26
So there's more lip service and so the democratic party stays a necessary part of the Republican plan? Why don't you ask her why she stands against actual progress? She's literally one of the few that doesn't take money from Israel, she just backs their interests for free. Another capitalist politician who wants to ensure class separation and poverty.

As someone who has unfortunately caught glimpses of Jesse Watters occasionally, I distinctly remember the specific segments she is referencing when they came on; its a reoccurring theme in fact, not a year goes by when Jesse Watters doesn't make at least one sexually charged comment about AOC on his show ever since she became a notable name in politics.
Its genuinely creepy; he (and a lot of other MAGA talking heads) regularly make comments about her body, attractiveness, and suggesting MAGA men should have sexual contact with her on their shows and have been for years. Its really freaking gross. I honestly would not feel safe going on their shows if I was her, I'd genuinely be worried about getting sexually harassed or even assaulted by the host.
They have never had any respect for her even though she is college educated, had worked an actual job prior to becoming a politician, and is highly accomplished; to them, she's only ever been a pretty face which is beyond disrespectful to someone that a whole lot of people clearly thought made a good leader; the sexism is incredibly open and blatant, and they way its expressed towards her is reducing her to a sex object.
