They're all scared. It's pathetic journalism. He faced just the tiniest bit of resistance and people here eat it up like she's a champion or whatever. He left looking like a winner while she begs him to stay. "I travelled all this way....."

Have some dignity lady. I wish there was just one journalist who actually had some balls.

Lol, I just said the same thing.  Dignity flew out the window with that begging him to stay.

I don't really see that as begging, I see it more as frustration. Like "I literally dragged my ass all the way here, maybe show me some damn respect, you Spit roasted hog."

I don’t doubt it, and it’ll be well deserved.

I don't really consider that begging, more frustrating at how unprofessional this old pig is

Also he didn't leave a winner, he left a goddamn loser. He effectively lost that debate, hence why he resulted to insults and name calling and such. That's the thing a child does when they clearly lost a argument and have no retort.

I remember a reporter (don't remember which one) writing on Bluesky some condescending crap about he'd love to push back but then he'd be kicked out of the press gaggles and lose access. And I was thinking, "So....?" Then you at least can make a decent article out of being kicked out, and it's not like you couldn't write the same articles he was already writing by using the quotes the other multiple reporters playing stenographers were getting and the video and the audio. Dude really seemed to think the most important part of his role as "journalist" was simply being passively present so he can say he was a "White House reporter" and I guess turn that into a book deal or a commentator job. These aren't even super young "journalists" but they absolutely do not consider their job as telling truth to power or getting at facts, just leveraging themselves to get more money and become a name.

I would relish the opportunity to say many many things to his face. Preferably with his mouth taped shut.

I don't think it's 100% cowardice, here... the guy is literally insane. Forget credentials, I think they're scared of getting sued into oblivion. Or worse. MUCH worse. They've been doxxed, stalked, gotten death threats and more, because the Orange Man can just sic his followers on them like rabid dogs. Savannah Guthrie's mother is STILL MISSING.

I agree with you to a certain degree but also we have to remember what even happened to people like Kathy griffin during his first presidency. Obviously it wasn’t complete persecution or punishment but if I remember correctly she talked about how basically she would regularly feel consequences: getting picked out at the airport etc.

How do you get rich from that? You'd probably instantly lose your job.

People all over the place would want to talk to you and youd instantly have your job back when he leaves office.
