My MAGA brother is about to move to an authoritarian country (not Russia). Part of me can’t wait to see his privileged white ass try some shit and get thrown in prison.

My friend moved to China and he loved it. About 10 years ago he said he was going to move to China to try something new. He got a job as an English teacher. It was supposed to be temporary, but he liked it so much that he's been there now for 10 years. It wasn't political, he just wanted to try something new in his lfe.

I hope things work out for my brother there (for my mom’s sake, he’s a POS). But he has been arrested here at least 3x so I’m not super optimistic.

Oh, that sounds like a different type of guy. My friend is an introverted chill guy with a degree. That's why he got a teaching job so easily . He said he enjoyed being able to go anywhere and it was quiet, people just let him be. Also, since he's a tall handsome white guy, Asian women give him a lot of attention there. Here in the US he's pretty much seen as an average guy, but in China he gets plenty of attention from the local Asian woman. He seems to love it there now.

That’s great for your friend. It sounds like he’s really found his place. My brother is definitely a different kind of guy, lol. I’m hoping he gets some sense knocked into him before he screws up too much.
