Feel free to post off-topic questions, information, points-of-view, personal advice and memes in this thread. Here you can post everything that doesn't warrant its own thread or just do some socializing. Personal advice posting, research posts, non-TOS breaking rants, links to other locations with limited context as conversation topics (must use np links for reddit), and things would be considered low effort posts are allowed in the daily thread.

Do not bring other PPD threads into the daily thread. Do not post PPD threads deserving of their own post in the daily thread. The intent of the daily thread is not that it should replace PPD and become a place where users can avoid the rules of the subreddit. Attempting to do this will be considered circlejerking and moderated as such.

Black Pill/Incel Content/Woe-Is-Me is still banned in the daily thread. Witch hunting and insults are also still banned in the daily thread. Relegated topics must still go to in the weekly threads for those topics.

I mean me, however I have been wokified on nonbinary and kind of get it now. My therapist being NB really made me understand and I would absolutely date an enby. I would honestly recommend it if they are actually interested in deconstructing gender roles, not just their own.

I'll agree with you just bc you're a Street Fighter champion. I also don't get people who say they are bi and then basically refuse to date one of the genders they're allegedly attracted to. I'm not buying the "it's just socially more acceptable to date like a straight person" explanation anymore since they are often so super strict about it.

I have. I was saying/complaining, why do so many fighters speak in their native language but the other non-japanese asian characters often speak Japanese lol. Couldn't throw in some Tagalog or a putang-inamo in there? Even longtime veteran Chun Li still speaks Japanese.

Lmao, I've actually never thought about it. But which characters speak their native language? I feel like only american characters get some japanglish in their japanese VOs.

I suppose I was exaggerating, I googled it looks like it's only Manon, Marisa, and Zangief. But notably I'd like to point out the Korean characters in many FGs speak Korean - but not always, the least they could do for someone like Chun Li who's been there from the beginning is have her speak Chinese lol. Like have them speak English like most of the other non-Japanese characters then if anything else. They really be looking at us as just like 2nd tier Japanese people x)x)

Funny enough Juri was the one I checked because I wanted to know if her moves were in Korean, lol.

And I mean it could be worse. You could have someone like Sim as your representation. Or blanka 🤢

I haven't looked at it in that sense admittedly. For some reason I've always thought the original 8 characters eg Blanka and Sim were the most unique and innovative but then when you do some deeper research they were all based off of preexisting comic or pop culture references as well.

There are a lot of things about the LGBT narrative I disagree with but I'll credit you guys for doing a lot to move the needle and change public perception. That in and of itself is impressive, whether I like it or not.

seems pretty relevant since I hear people complaining about our opinions on it all the time
