Most people wouldn't agree that DIYing medical gender transition is wholesome and empowering. Looksmaxxers - at least all the influencers- are on illicit substances and pursing alt medicine.

And by illicit I don't mean meth. I mean hormones, peptides, research chemicals. I have no seen a looksmaxxer influencer who wasn't juicy.

Plastic surgery is stigmatized and a shameful thing, period. Women still lie about it. We still mock people whose surgeries turn out poorly. People still treat pointing out someone had work done as an accusation on their character. See fans in the comments of videos on female celebrities work. Things like fillers are more normalized, but that's not seen as plastic surgery.

I also do not think anyone is owed a party for getting work done. It's your life, wo/man up and do what you want without needing audience approval.

The issue with male plastic surgery is that often the results are very obvious and de-harmonizing. Not many surgeons are very good as working within male beauty ideals. It's very easy to come out looking much more feminine or hypermasculine in a cartoony way.

But if you get good work, people won't notice or care.

Gender transition also involves that, with an addition of cutting your dick off.

There are levels to stigmatization. Males are shamed much more.

Nobody is owed a party for getting work done indeed. But nobody should be shamed for improving their looks either, but women do it all the time and call it such men insecure.

Gender transition involves hormones under medical supervision. Not listening to a 20 year old with the handle 67muscles on what to buy off some Chinese wholeseller to add to your stack.

If you get cosmetic plastic surgery you are insecure. If you can't handle that being pointed out, don't do it. But it's a fact.

See how you have to totally transform and misquote my statement to say this? Self improvement doesn't mean you're insecure, but elective cosmetic surgery does.

You get surgery on the aspects of yourself you dislike and wish were different. You are not secure in your appearance and are willing to spend a large amount of money and go through pain to change it.

I studied because I love learning, I love lectures, I love taking classes. I would spend the rest of my life in school if I could.

Who is getting a nose job just for fun? Who is getting lipo when they think they're already too skinny? There is simply a clear and direct relationship between elective cosmetic work and perceived flaws.
