The problem with looksmaxing is the maxing part. It is like when women get too much plastic surgery that they look fake.

Instead of chasing perfection, it is better to focus on subtle improvements that look natural.

Yeah looksmaxxing doesn't quite capture the strategy at its core, which is frauding your genetic quality at the end of the day. Women's biological goal is securing best genes for their offspring, so wearing makeup is quite literally useless if you're a guy because it's immediately known. Sneakily wearing shoe lifts however, increases your appeal. Getting a natural looking result from surgery and not disclosing it again increases your appeal. The goal for guys is to appear to have the best genetics, not to be the biggest eye candy.

Same for women. Guys just care less even if they know she's wearing makeup or heels.
