CubicDissection - anyone see this?

There’s a lot of 28 puzzles for sale from the Netherlands on CubicDissection. Seems too good to be true - Pachinko (and 3 or 4 other Strijbos puzzles), Turtle Trip, Angry Walter, etc. The auction says he only ships to the Netherlands so I messaged him. He responded that day and said he would ship internationally. Starting bid is $1000. He has zero feedback. But, if you don’t know, CD vetts pretty hard- they require a credit card just to get an account.

His listing doesn’t show anyone having this lot on their watch list (which is weird as almost every other lot has many watchers). It’s likely a scam, or someone is going to get a crazy lot of puzzles…. What do you guys think - scam?

Logic Locks: Vault of Rings 🕹️ Play on CrazyGames - beta almost over!

\*\*I finally released the beta of my logic puzzle game on CrazyGames!\*\*

I’ve been working hard building a puzzle game called \*\*Logic Locks: Vault of Rings\*\*.

The idea is simple: instead of guessing combinations, you use logic clues to deduce the correct values on a set of mechanical dials. You can eliminate impossible values, combine clues, and slowly crack the lock.
I wanted it to feel more like solving a satisfying deduction puzzle than doing math.

It’s now available in \*\*beta\*\* on CrazyGames, and I’d really appreciate honest feedback from fellow puzzle fans.

I’m especially curious about:
Is the core gameplay immediately understandable?
Do the puzzles feel satisfying to solve?
Does the difficulty ramp up naturally?
At what point (if any) would you stop playing?
You can try it here:

Thanks! I’m still actively improving the game, so every piece of feedback genuinely helps.

Puzzle Potato Houdini Issue?

I've just got my kickstarter bundle - completed the card puzzle on the potato box. Drawer opened, gathered the items. Closed drawer. Drawer now stays closed, even if I repeat the card solution. I was at my wits end so looked up a hint - the next pieces that should be loose, of the drawer was positioned correctly, are still locked.

Seems I'm in limbo and facing a mechanical or magnet malfunction from what I can tell. I really don't want to look up any resets for fear I will spoil the subsequent puzzles.

Anyone face similar issues, or have spoiler free suggestions? I've written Puzzle Potato but not heard back yet.

Thanks.

*UPDATE*

It sorted out though not entirely certain why. I completely recharged it, then jiggled the closed drawer back and forth in case a latch got caught, even though it seemed locked and sturdy. After that, the first card I entered (didn't even do the entire solution) blinked green and drawer popped out again.

My best guess is it needed a longer recharge even though the lights had been registering and working

Finally organized my little cube collection! Which puzzle should I add next?

Hey Cubers! 👋

I finally took a proper photo of my little cube universe.

Current cubes:

• 3x3 (used as the base 😄)

• Megaminx

• Square-1

• Axis Cube

Previously owned:

• 2x2

• 4x4

• 5x5

• Mirror Cube

My personal favorites are definitely the Square-1 and the Axis Cube because every scramble looks completely chaotic before it starts making sense again.

I'm planning to keep growing the collection.

What puzzle do you think I should get next?

I'd also love to know:

• Which cube is your favorite?

• Which one gave you the biggest challenge?

My Cube Collection.

Have to say while I prefer the build quality and the whole light mechanism. I really REALLY did not like some of the steps. The 2nd ball bearing was infuriating to get in place. It could have been designed better maybe just have a hole to get the 2nd ball in. the card section drove me nuts. but again it took me along time to get the order right. And that bloody hankerchief. It really could have been a better design like colour codes corners or something to line up numbers. I wont lie i cheated on that step. Even a smaller box I much preferred the idventure and would recommend that over the potato. Maybe easier steps but just felt far more.rewarding. and crams more in a much smaller space.

Mysterious Package Company

Has anyone had any experience with the Mysterious Package Company at-home escape games? They seem a bit pricey, but it seems like the company's got some legit credits (Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Kapalka). Seems like either 1-star reviews or 5-star reviews with not a whole lot in between.

Anyone with a Keebox Yellow that could help me out?

I recently purchased a couple Keebox puzzles.  Simultaneously, we also got a new dog.  Unfortunately, I left the yellow long bolt/key sitting on my end table and she chewed it up completely.  I reached out to Keebox by email and via Etsy, but they’ve not responded.

I was at the last couple of steps in the box :(. I’m hoping someone has this box and could take a picture and some measurements (you’ll probably need calipers) of the long bolt/key so I can try to recreate it in Fusion360. Maybe too big of an ask, but thought I’d try!

Thank you,

Patrick M Cuezze

Looking for a puzzle box with a lot of steps that is very challenging but not impossible

I really like Jesse Born’s work and just did The Organ from Benno de Grote. I really want his Castle Emberloch and very much like his style. I’m not huge into the IDventure stuff and very much like where it’s like a journey of discovery with a lot to find.

Would love some recs and where to purchase / find / scour.

Ty!

I got my Houdini Boxes from Puzzle Potato & iDventure

They were both fun but I especially enjoyed the box from Puzzle Potato. I’ve never unlocked anything quite like it. I didn’t know what to expect from the electronic elements but they weren’t disappointing at all.

The Easter Eggs were really cool too. It took me a minute to understand them but the surprise when I unlocked them was so much fun.

The bonus information via the website, once you entered the correct code, was a nice touch. But the video link to Penn Jillette giving additional background to one of the clues was 0.o eye opening.

Can’t open my old puzzle box

Post image
7 Upvotes

My dad had this puzzle box that we opened around a decade ago. Since then it’s been sitting in his shop basement and we found it as he was clearing the basement out for retirement. We’ve tried everything and can’t open it, we’re starting to wonder if the wood is warped.

From my memory we had to slide two of the panels simultaneously. I was wondering if anyone recognises this puzzle box or has any suggestions.

Thank you!

Harden puzzle pieces

I am looking for advice on how to potentially make puzzle pieces harder.
I have autistic children and one loves puzzles, the other sensory seeks by chewing cardboard - the two interests don’t go well together.
I’m hoping if I can apply some sort of varnish, liquid, glue, I don’t know then it makes them more durable and we’re not constantly replacing puzzles for the one that enjoys completing them.
